At first Jersey only trusted mom, cuz he felt dad would trick him and put him under the water. Loved how dad turned that around and gained his trust.

It has been a real treat watching Jersey grow up from a cute little baby to the sweet boy he has grown to, and I love watching him pull up his sleeves, that is cute.

I agree with Ami, he is only 3. Sign him up for swim lessons at the YMCA or other toddler swimming programs.The teachers are usually amazing and their methodology normally gets the kids to adapt easily. Mom should take him for the first few lessons because I think Jersey is highly intelligent, perceptive, and sensitive to Justins expectations of him. I put my child in lessons around 3 and she and Jersey act very similar at that age. Having said that, you guys are my favorite parents ever!!!!!

Have you tried goggles? My younger cousin didn’t like the water in his face either, but with goggles he doesn’t mind and it gave him more confidence to try new things.

It's good to go slow when someone has a fear of water. Someone threw me in twelve feet of water and I panicked. I have a fear of water to this day and I actually know how to swim, thanks to the Y.

My dad would throw me up in the air in the pool I really didn’t know not to swallow so much water because he didn’t explain it to me like Justin explains things. I was forced to go down the straight STRAIGHT water slides as a teen. Water slides as a baby too.it was scary without the support like Justin has. I am so terrified of water and I’m in my 20s. I think it’s great to do this as young as Jersey is. Don’t be like me crying at the end of a scary fast slide as old as I am.

My father was thrown in a lake at four and almost drowned. He was always afraid of water and never learned to swim but saw to it that all of us learned. That was the old days, 1917. It’s great to see Justin reassuring Jersey, showing him, and explaining to him and walking him through with a sweetness but firmness.

Love the jers man!!! I’m 18, but I can vividly remember taking my first swim lessons around 4 years old. It’s not about necessarily being scared of the water; like Justin was saying it’s the water on the face that I too did not like. Maybe getting Jersey a pair of goggles would help, as it helped me a lot, allowing me to focus and excell on the task at hand; swimming. Without goggles, great job Jersey❤️❤️❤️! Such an amazing kid!!!
