That hood and quarter panel art is the best decal art I’ve ever seen on a Jeep. Simple and understated but beautiful and skillfully done. Bravo sir. I’d definitely put that on my 98.

That was also a very nice touch. The artistic freedom you have with a Jeep is endless. Make it how you like it.

Nice Rig Dude! You really don't need all the super fancy stuff that costs a fortune. Keep it simple. I have a '99 Sahara 4.0L 5 speed. No AC. Also Green!👍. The green just looks good even when it's dirty. Also, that roof tent is pretty sweet!

Great video, thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed seeing all the upgrades you did. Just bought my first Jeep a week ago, (97 TJ 4.0 5speed) I bought it as an extra vehicle, but I like it so much, I don't want to drive anything else. I'm hooked!

Gotta love a TJ I had a 05 rubi but sold it just needing more room I sure wish I had it back Enjoy your videos , living in Russellville, we’ve run most of the local stuff I’ve seen on them, and appreciate you not giving locations . Also like the lower budget approach and not getting caught up in the high dollar must have overland gear thing… I sleep in my rig most of the time and keep things as simple as possible. That 8.8 is a great axle, I’m running one with 4.88 and a ox locker in my Jeep. Thanks for the videos , I enjoy them more than some of the other local guys stuff

I took the Dana 35 out of my 05 TJ as soon as it broke, and put a Dana 44, with an E locker,regeared to 4:56 gears. I put a lock right in the Dana 30. Running 33-13.5-15 netto Mud Grapplers.
@ryansremark69832 жыл бұрын
8.8 axle is a great option! Stronger then d44. With the 3 speed you'll just need 4.56, probably a sye kit too

What did you do for the blinkers under your headlights? Also in your cargo area, is that just made out of wood and covered with carpet?
@adventurerecon14974 ай бұрын
Just some 2” amber LEDs for blinkers, Yes wood covered in carpet for sound.

If a 3.5 inch lift fits 35’s, do you think a skinny tire like the 255/85/16’s “33’s” pizza cutters would fit on a 2 or 2.5 inch lift from Old Man Emu?
@adventurerecon14972 жыл бұрын
Don’t see why not!
@dacrazycard70862 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I have an Old Man Emu 2" heavy duty lift and it netted 2.5". I am running 31 x10.5 but 33" would easily fit.

Wait...did I hear correctly? You said you were running the stock 3:07 gears on it still!? How has that worked out for you so far? My Tj also has the stock 3:07 gears and im thinking about a regear (eventually) but honestly its drive-able. The amount of hate this ratio gets on the TJ forums makes me want to regear asap. Ill do it soon but honestly I feel it can wait. Im running 33s also.
@adventurerecon14972 ай бұрын
I sold that TJ after owning it for 10 years to more room and bought a JKU Rubicon. On the TJ I ran 35’s the whole time and never regeared or broke anything on the axles with the 3.07 and the 3 speed Auto.
