Great, well-done video. My wife and I are also from (West Central) Florida and have spent a lot of time in the NE Georgia mountains over the last fifteen years doing some of the same things. We've been blessed to have been able to travel all over the U.S., and even several foreign countries. But I have to say, the NE Georgia mountains are our hands-down, all-time, hand to God FAVORITE part of the country. It's full of beautiful scenery, nice small towns and friendly folks. Nice, we love our Gazelle! I’ve thought a lot about going to a 10 or 20lb tank. What like can the 1lb tanks is of course the size. If we only camp for a day or 2 I can stuff 2 or 3 of the small tanks just about any where in the Jeep. A large tank is a little harder to make space for. I just refill the 1lbs at home off a 20lb bottle. I have 6 that I just rotate and refill depending on the length of the trip. If we do a a week or 2 trip I will be trying a larger bottle

I just subbed your channel and watched your Sarah creek video. We just went a little further up from where you hiked to. That trail makes a hard Left 90 turn and that's where took it too and used the turn point to get turned around. Wish now we would have made it to the top but going it alone we didn't know exactly what we were getting into. So we played it safe. I agree there's a lot that goes into making a video. Different shots and angles, drone, setting up the shot, driving by, going to get the camera and so forth but I really enjoy it and brainstorming new shows and view and edits. All the camping was Earls Ford Road. As far as the trail riding, it’s also Sarah’s Creek Rd and a couple others that are near by. So glad you liked the video and thank you for commenting.

Was this campsite at the very end of earl ford? Iv seen some campsites online along the actual road. Wasn’t sure if this was one of them. I want to look out for this spot

Yes this was at the end along the Chattooga River. We had a viewer comment a couple months ago that it had been blocked by the forest service. So I’m not sure if it is still open. If you check it out let us know.

Yes it is, though we did not take it all the way to the top. We made to the left hand bend, I would say about 1/4 mile up. I didn’t have any information on it so we were a little hesitant and didn’t know if it was a dead end and wasn’t on any of my maps. Thought about hiking it but some parts were underwater.

You have to get on it from Warwoman Rd. Enjoy! Check Sarah’s Creek Rd. also. There’s quite a few dispersed campsites further up that road if everything is full on Earls Ford.

I thought they blocked off access to driving across the river, years ago.

Hmmm, the access was not blocked when we went, almost 2 years ago now. When camped at the very end at the Chattooga River and while we were there at least 2 dozen vehicles in different groups had made it out there.

Can you share the coordinates where this trail starts? Thanks …
@GetOverItOutdoors
@GetOverItOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I didn’t actually mark the coordinates for the start of this one, but Earls Ford Road starts off of Warwoman Road (which is a pretty major paved road. Earls Ford entrance is just past the Warwoman Fire Dept. about 8 miles east of Clayton, GA. Sarah’s Creek Rd. is about another mile east of Earls Ford Rd. but also off of Warwoman Rd. All these roads and trails can be found on Google Maps also.

Yeah, head East out of Clayton, GA on Warwoman Rd. about 8.5 miles to you get to Earls Ford Rd. on the right. Once on Earls Ford road just stay on it til you get to the Chattooga River. That’s where the site will be. You’ll have to cross over Warwoman creek ( in the video) in order to get to end and the campsite. If that site is occupied you’ll pass atleast 3or 4 other sites on the way out there. Thanks for Watching and subbing!
