@@CoddiwompleOverland I'm less then an hour from the Iowa state line. This part of Missouri is basically flat with thousands of acres of corn, soybeans and cattle on fescue. Everything is on mile square grids with gravel roads, very few dirt roads even around here. The Ozarks are a few hours south. I used to live down there and even there there's not many trails like you all run. I get my off road fix watching you folks and a few other off-roading channels.

@CoddiwompleOverland
@CoddiwompleOverland 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It depends, normally we run 4wd if it is soft and there is a possibility of tearing up the trail in 2wd or if its a trail the we are running less than 5-7 mph we will do in 4lo. We go to 4lo in these cases to keep from heating the transmission fluid up with torque converter slip. Other than that, its only when needed. Hope this helps.

The coordinates for the tunnel is 36° 3.9998' N 84° 39.1197' W. once you go through the tunnel turn left and the trail will take you right back by the cliffs along the river. THe bridge is just past where you turn off to the tunnel. The tunnel loop is about a mile long.

There was a truck hit by a train that got stuck on the tracks. If you fast forward the link I posted above you will see the truck get hit. Also there has been a lot of people leaving trash everywhere. So they closed the area. Hope they reopen even if it was on a permit based.

Different places. Sometimes we find routes like the KAT or the SM1000. You can find the gpx files on their FB pages. You can also files gpx files on the website or app called All Trails. The other way is if you are going to a national forest, look at the MVUM maps. I hope this helps!
