Overload Is SUPER BUSTED Now... BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - the 40.1 sub-update has already dropped and it comes with nerfs and buffs to Corvus. One of these buffs might be a little too strong however...

I never really found frostbound useful it’s better to just get a 4-2-0 Druid that ug path because it freezes and deregrows

@@Kitten479frostbound freezes moabs at level 9. It’s incredibly useful since it gives you a high pierce and powerful moab stall early in the game.

Honestly geraldo > corvus. Sauda can do it for only $650 chimps. (also corvus mainly got nerfed, not buffed.)

@@epicow_1973You have to put all your money into Sauda for her to be able to 1TC, so it's not $650, it's actually over 100k (I don't think she can 1TC anymore)

@@mouykaing7456 You are right, and although Geraldo can still technically 1TC still, Sauda can't. Even then, $1215 was impressive, but it's not unbelievable like how people say it is. The person who did it, did it about a day and a half after the update came out, so it didn't take some insane planning out to make the strategy work out. In fact, I decided to try out the strategy for myself, and did a $1,215 run. and using the proper micro, I'd say even the above-average player could do it, given enough time. It was hard, don't get me wrong, but with the proper micro the above-average BTD6 player could do it. I found even doing bloody puddles on chimps to be harder.

The thing I love about Corvus, is that he’s the only hero that you ever play with the game on regular speed more than fast forward. Because he’s such an active hero

re: The comment about Corvus using his own resource instead of cash - I do think that’s a big part of why he’s overtuned. Gerry is powerful, but at least you have to dump cash into him. With Corvus, you don’t even need to powerlevel because of nourishment

I agree, I think Corvus has this huge advantage over Jeremiah, but still I think that Jonas just provides so much farming and supportive util, whilst still being able to carry the mid game for very cheap that overall Gabrial still has a more widespread usage.

Fun fact: at level 20, the nourishment ability gives cash instead of hero XP when used, and IT WORKS IN DEFLATION. I haven't tested this in CHIMPS but I wouldn't be surprised if it worked there too. Seems like a pretty major oversight on NK's part.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Corvus and think he has INSANE potential, but Corvus is one of those hero’s who CONSTANTLY need your attention if it’s to be practical, like Geraldo. I do really think he’s a great hero but those types of hero’s just aren’t for me.

I think it's fair that the most powerful heroes are the ones that need the most micro. I really dislike micro myself so even if people are doing crazy stuff with Corvus I would likely stick to other heroes anyway.

I loved magus perfectus, and corvus is everything I loved about it amplified, and because he uses mana instead of cash he feels so much better to use than a certain shopkeeper

Best way to level him up is to use nourishment, then soul harvest, and then recovery until nourishment is about 3/4 done so the recovery ability is back after you use nourishment… rinse and repeat. Just gotta have a tower that can mostly solo mid game and will get him to lvl 20

Corvus having his own resource just seems like a broken mechanic that probably will need a lot of reworking to fix. Aside from just being busted in general, the mana mechanic makes him excellent in modes like half-cash and coop because your cash is a non-factor when using Corvus.

Does haste not count as an attack speed buff? I haven’t played much with Corvus yet, but he seems to attack through flying into the Bloons. Would him flying faster not result in more collisions which results in more DPS?

No, the spirit flying into things doesn't deal damage. The spirit actually attacks with it's hands if you look at it.

The game has a re-hit mechanic where the spirit can only damage a bloon after a certain amount of time. Haste simply increases the movement and curvature but Aggression is what decreases the re-hit time, making the spirit deal more damage.

Geraldo can get you flying fortress with zero micro to nearly solo the 90s on most maps, and can take very cheap/greedy setups and carry them on rounds like 40 and 63, and camo rounds with his items. Corvus still has higher potential yes, but requires far more micro and preparation (cooldowns/mana management) they just have to tune down a few numbers.

I think they make these new heros meta defining on purpose. Every hero since Brickell has been crazy good on their release. Brickell: Very good on her debut and still solid CHIMPS choice Etienne: Debatable but good Sauda: First ever 1TC and still probably in the top 5 strongest heros Psi: Still insane in many CHIMPS runs Geraldo: Do I even need to tell you how good this guy was and still is? Corvus's overload deals as much damage as First Strike Capability. Meaning you can successfully take down a BAD after it's severely damaged. That's first strike capability, but more concentrated and destructive!

I’ll always have problems with Corvus as a hero only because he may be strong now but he will get nerfed really hard and he won’t be worth that 7k monkey money anymore. Pat fusty he’s just a meme hero he adds damage yes and can grab zomgs but izili can kill bass solo and a lot more after that with just one ability use and she buffs all magic towers

I dont know if I like that the barrier spell also works in chimps. The point of chimps is having one single life and not being allowed to leak anything. You might say that the hero would be less usefull in chimps if that was the case but looking at some other heroes, their abilities also often suffer. Life gain, money gain etc. etc. Just feels off to me I guess.

It's not really adding lives as much as preventing damage. Legend of the Night still works in CHIMPS after all. (granted that might just be because it's extremely unaffordable)

Yeah, don't get me wrong, he certainly is too strong but I think it would be unrewarding from a gameplay perspective if a hard to use hero is just as strong as everyone else. He should have a certain wow factor when you play him well.
