Me and my girlfriend backpack 5 miles into a beautiful remote trout pond and set up camp for the night. We relax in the hammock, cut down firewood, cook over the fire, and I catch a fat brook trout for dinner. All in all it was an amazing trip and I am already excited to do it again next year!

Nice catch! Been camping there for years with the kids. Always a great spot, away from the crowds. It’s definitely become a lot more popular in the last several years. Used to be a canoe hidden in the woods, wife and I used to borrow it to go fishing. Had a bull moose come within 30 yards of us one year. Always a great time!

One of my favorite out of the way camping spots as well. Couldn’t agree with your statement more! I have used the canoe once but was unable to find it this year… figured it was stashed on the wrong side that I was looking on.

I’m sure you won’t say but I live in NH and would love to know where this is. Love everything outdoors. Looks like a great spot for some much needed relaxing with the wife away from all the other distractions of the world.

I went there last fall with my girlfriend. Fun hike but only caught one little brookie and then the spot got blown up by a troop of boy scouts camping. Not sure how anyone would get a boat in there but it would be great to be able to explore the other side of the pond. Maybe could pack in an inflatable canoe or something.

Oh no, nothing like having a spot blown up by a troop of boy scouts haha. Well at least you got one! I was thinking the same exact thing about the canoe, not sure which brave souls hiked that thing all the way in there, but it must have been a TON of work. Never a bad time when your outdoors camping though :)

Dope edit! Been wanting to do a remote hike in just not fond of hiking that far

It was definitely not easy, but there is not a lot of elevation gain to this hike so it wasn’t terrible. The trout always seem to taste better the harder you work for them though 😉

Great video. Can you camp when and where you please, or is some kind of reservation required?

Hi Todd, glad you liked the video! There is no reservation required for this campsite as it is first come first serve. There are probably 6-8 various spots around the pond!
