Hey Jarrod! My suggestion for your boat…… Start saving plastic peanut butter jars or plastic screw top containers of your choice of size. Something that will easily fit on your shelves or in your cabinet that you’re building. Now stock them with flour, sugar, rice, noodles and beans. Be sure to restock after each trip then you’ll never be without your staple ingredients. I used to do this when we had a little Scotty camping trailer. Kept the items fresh and the critters out of them, too. My dad and I loved to camp in the Scotty. Finding cool stuff for the camper at the local flea market was always fun. Cheers! Whipple

Mama T out fished you boys. It's good for her to have good memories too and she has proof of her huge cat fish to show her co-workers at the hospital she works with. The memories of you and your grandpa how he taught you how he grew up on the bayou and now you have your son to pass that same knowledge down to him. Little G will have all these videos that you are making so years from now he can show his kids how much fun you all had and how you taught him everything he knows about that life. It is so sad how many people who grew up on the river woke up one morning while in their teen or 20s and left the life they knew to move away thinking about big city. It will take them years to realize they messed up and should have never left thete because this river bayou life is perfect. But only us country folk know this. I might have went to work in the city but don't want to luve there. They frown on it when I walk outside drinking coffee in my underwear and get more mad at me for using a 22 getting squirrels. So we got a pellet gun and got everyone in the area where my sister lived. No i didn't luve there but my sister told me later her neighbors none like me. That was fine with me because those fried squirrel meat we ate with biscuits and gravy was worth it. I would really like to try eating some of those big river rats you have down there. An have biscuits and gravy with it. My mouth is watering up thinking about that. I think you all are right tho about people not wanting to try and eat those rats because of way they look. Look at a pig, ugly animal and the smell from them wow that a good stink right there. But you know millions of people just like us, we live our bacon and sausage from them and don't forget about them pork chops.
