Idk why Mattel can’t spend a little more money on these dolls! The prices are ridiculous for the lack of detail and quality that your actually getting

100% agree..Mattel really fuck it up with quality for these """collector""" dolls. Barbie Extras have more articulation and the clothes are way better, and they cost half. These look like classic playline from a decade ago or so, the quality really drop and it's so sad. I hope people don't hype them just for the sake of buying cause "the anniversary". And at this point in time aliexpress or 3D printed stands are cheaper, better quality and more available than ever, so mattel can't pretend anymore than adding a stand is making the doll worth it.

Those so-called collector dolls look like those store exclusives' 90s Barbie's with big puffy dresses that cost $20. But those dolls had better quality.

I think Mattel is trying to start off and do new and different designs for the princesses, given how each princess has on average five outfits in their own movies, which would mean they would have the same five dolls being created over and over.

I totally agree. These look like playline dolls, not collector. I am from the era when they made collector dolls that actually looked and cost like collector dolls. Even their playline dolls had really good quality, you’d think they were collector dolls. Watching Mattel fall so far from grace has been a little disheartening.

when Disney Store is producing a collector's Disney princess doll they have more detailed and they're more designed because of the artwork of collector's Disney princess doll they cost more but when Mattel is producing an eight pack the dolls look like play line dolls

I enjoy your reviews - thank you. Yes I’m late to the Disney 100 party lol BUT I found this Cinderella for under $20 on Amazon and I have to say- I ordered a white petticoat and placed it underneath and it makes a huge improvement. I DO wish like other comments say that Mattel would stop making collector dolls with such cheap fabric and give an articulated arm at least!

For those platinum dolls, they aren’t really meant to be an exact replica of their movie dresses. Those dolls are definitely worth probably $30-$40 at most (I’m only giving that leeway because of the Disney license)

I don’t mind the little spice of an outfit that is reminiscent to their signature gowns, but not exact, it’s a nice sort of refresher, but still a $30-$40 refresher, not a $50 one

I fear for what the 10 year anniversary frozen dolls will be like. Getting Elsa collector dolls for a reasonable price is a bear, So I know people will be interested in these. Imagine the pain when we see them suck.

Honestly, the $15 for each doll in the 8 pack makes sense with how much Mattel and other brand dolls cost these days.

I work at a Disney store and the big doll pack with 12 princesses looks better than that 8 pack. And it's only 6 or 7 more dollars 😂

I had the 100 years of Disney dolls on pre order. I really looked at them and $50-55 price. I canceled them. I will wait if they go on sale I will get them. I have Draculaura vampire heart on pre order. I am excited about her.

That collector pack looks like cheap hasbro Disney dolls that u see at goodwill cause it’s like cheap and no one wants them. Lol what a complete joke to ask 129 for crap quality. I got a 6 pack of rainbow high for $50 on sale and the quality is above and beyond. Lol sad that Disney dolls aren’t very good. They have so much failed potential. Also the fact those dolls ball gowns don’t reach the floor is laughable.
