6 months of the year they're in darkness. Depression reighns in Alaska. Plus during the 6 months of light all the locals act like hooligans and then there's a s*** ton of tourists on top of it. I don't blame them for hating their jobs. 🤣 Great video! So beautiful there.

Sorry to hear of your initial disappointments, but you were very fortunate to get into the campground as you did. When I visited in the the 90's, you could wait for months to get a space. The fees have really zoomed up! I know you are not in Alaska any more, but for other visitors in the future, the best time to see wildlife is early in the morning or later in the evening...

Yes totally Gene! We only booked a few weeks out and got a spot no problem. We've heard even in recent years it's almost impossible to get a spot unless you book way far out. Keeping that puppy safe! Too many wild things out there that might like a Paco Taco. I like to be the top of the food chain - bears and I only like each other at a distance.

Always!! Paco is our number one priority which is why we didn't get to go too far off into the back country during our trip to Denali. You're right though, Paco would make a tasty taco for a big animal haha xo Alex

As a people, I am VERY thankful for everything I eat and drink. Prayer's over everything as well. The bear's are hungry and looking for food. How to handle a bear confrontation. Just act like a crazy person waving arms and yelling and they will walk away. Never run, you are in THEIR home. Paco got a dinosaur costume lol ? Much love from Texas y'all 💜

About the dogs, those dogs gets LOTS of exercise daily. I don't like chains either, but please know, people with sled dogs take good care of them!

Be careful bears can smell food over 5 miles away and they have been known to break in RVs and vans if they smell food

Thanks so much Brian! I think the bears in Alaska are more wild than somewhere like Yosemite but you're right, especially the bears around campgrounds know how to find food. We appreciate the tips! xo Alex

Denali looks different than I pictured. Then again, videos always make National Parks look different then it is. Poor Paco. At least you are obeying the dog rules. Some owners don't give a crap, even though signs of no dogs allowed are everywhere. Squirrel!! 🐕 $120 to ride the bus?! It better take you to the moon and back, with complimentary pretzels and water. 🧐

It was beautiful but so was a lot of Alaska that was free to visit lol And yup, we do our best to obey all the rules with Paco, after hearing about the grizzly's so nearby we figured the rules were for a reason!!! lol We just put up another Alaska video if you want to come to the Arctic Circle with us! xo Alex

Actually Mckenzie this one in particular the road is eroding due to global warming and at the moment you can't go passed mile 43ish. I'm sure they were ran a bit different before social media that is the nature of the media beast we have all become a part of weather we are consuming or creating. The main message we should take from these places is the impact we are having on them even when we are physically not there. I also thing that people should create there own opinions by going to the place and experiencing it for themselves. A sight through another's eyes isn't the same as your own. @@FnAVanLife definitely check out Toadstool Geological Park, Chadron state park and Scottsbluff National Monument. The western part of Nebraska is super hilly and very beautiful.

All of Alaska is overrated in my opinion . Dont bother going north of BC. BC in our opinion is the most perfect place on earth. Better weather, better mountains, turqoise lakes, glaciers, better hiking, better cities, stunning beaches, ghost towns, a dessert, and some of the worlds most stunning wine country. There is wildlife everywhere. Save your gas and gloomy weather and explore BC.

We found Alaska to be stunning. Other then this park we loved our experience ❤️ BC is pretty dang great too. 👍
