Travis, this is what your EPU does. Powered by four heavy-duty AGM batteries, SmartAirTM can keep a sleeper cool and comfortable for up to 10 hours at a stretch. At the same time, the SmartAir no-idle climate-control system lowers fuel costs and cuts emissions. It does not supply power to the tractor. Just so that those who are not truckers don't get confused. Great Video. Sweet truck.

I just moved from a pete to a cascadia. I was surprised at how much space there is in the freightliner. It is wider than the pete. The bunk is wider in the pete but longer (head to toe) in the freightliner. The biggest thing I miss about the pete is the ride. It rode like a caddy while the freightliner rides like a covered wagon. Other thing is the dt12 auto (Detroit) in the freightliner is far easier to drive (dock, back, etc.) than the eaton in the pete. Huge difference.

Most solo company solo drivers will be in a tiny lightweight. Trainers, teams and lease ops get condos. Team trucks come im handy and have saved dispatch lots of headaches when solo drivers aren't able to make a load on time
@TravisKinley

blacknight88 Thats how it used to be! Talk to some new company solo’s. They’re choosing between condo’s and LW’s. The wait is longer, but they’re not being forced into a LW.

@@TravisKinley Prime did a video where they ordered several trucks with the special epu and side sensor to test them out. They decided to give them to company drivers so lease ops didn't have to pay more. I see where they will run ac for 10 hours, not sure how that will work out if you are sitting doing a reset some where? Beautiful truck though.
@TravisKinley
@TravisKinley 3 жыл бұрын
@@bcooper7352 Some will run longer than 10 hours (mine will at least). One feature I don’t think I mentioned is Auto Start. When the auxiliary batteries that power the air get down to 20% - the truck will automatically start until batteries are charged to 80% again. So no big deal over a reset if you happen to be running it that long.

The deer guard has NOTHING to do with fuel economy... It’s cheaper to replace a deer guard than it it to replace the sensor for the collision mitigation system

1st of all Travis your truck is diesel powered not gas powered so therefore you do not put gas in your tanks you put diesel fuel in your tanks to run the truck. You don't stop at a truck stop and gas up your truck. You fuel up your truck. There not gas stops their fuel stops. You should say that in your videos so when people that don't know anything about a truck will know that they are diesel powered trucks not gas powered trucks
