Hi Joel, try a full reset to start. 1. Unplug the AC power. 2. Remove the battery. 3. Plug in the USB cable if not plugged in. 4. Download the Plantronics Hub www.poly.com/us/en/support/downloads-apps/hub-desktop 5. Reconnect the AC power and battery then see if the light goes green. If not try a firmware update in the Hub software. Let us know if this helps. If not, we can help furthere from there.

So Jabra 75 or Plantronics 8220, in terms on quality call, for the microphone?

Both are very comparable. No matter which option you choose, you can expect that you're making a good choice. What you need to decide is. Do you need desk phone connectivity and long range? Then you would go with the Savi 8220 amzn.to/3f6XZ0e If you don't need more than 100 feet of range and only need connection to computer/mobile phone, you would go with the Jabra evolve 75 amzn.to/3e2Oa1Z

@HeadsetAdvisor

Yes there is a button on the headset that you can answer or end calls wirelessly up to 300 feet away from the charging base. However if connecting to office corded desk phone you need to add an ehs cable to get that feature. @HeadsetAdvisor

randybaguinon Unfortunately not. You’ll need the charging base for the headset to work. The difference between the 8220 and the Focus UC is the 8220 operates on DECT technology whereas the Focus UC works on Bluetooth. The 8220 has Bluetooth built into the charging base for you to use this headset for mobile calls as well.

Thanks for the details -- can you advise on the largest difference between Savi vs. Voyager Focus? My guess is, the former allows connecting to desk phone, and their sound quality (mic and listening) would be around... the same? Thanks.
@HeadsetAdvisor
@HeadsetAdvisor 4 жыл бұрын
The largest difference is the Savi connects to desk phone, computer and mobile phone. The Savi also has a replaceable battery. Whereas the Voyager Focus UC is designed for your computer and mobile phone and doesn't have a replaceable battery. Other than than when it comes to quality (Sound quality, microphone, durability, ease of use), both will be very similar.

Hi Alex, on the charging base is a bluetooth button. If you press and hold this button it should flash blue and red. At that point you would want to put your Galaxy 9+ into pairing mode. If the two don't pair, I would recommend you download the Plantronics Hub on your computer and update the firmware in the headset. There's also a setting that shows in the Hub to have Bluetooth enabled or disabled. If this show disabled, make sure to enable Bluetooth.

We do have customers using this and other headsets with hearing aids. It really depends on what type of hearing aids you have. If you're able to have headphones on and hear, then this headset should work for you but it won't pair to your hearing aids for example. This headset rests against your ears rather that enclosing your ears and in some cases people with hearing aids benefit with a headset to fully enclose the ears, like the model at this link. headsetadvisor.com/products/discover-d722u-noise-cancelling-usb-wired-headset-for-computer?_pos=1&_sid=fcab86316&_ss=r

Thank you for this video. I am a teacher and have not yet succeeded in finding what I want to suit my needs. I need a very comfortable headset (as I teach online for about 4 hours daily). I am looking for a talk oriented headset. I need to be able to hear my own voice as well as my students' voice (very well). I bought a Steelseries over the ear headset, with an attachable mic. However, the problem is that I do not hear my own voice well...so I keep talking loudly and getting sore throats because of that, and even then, I still hear my voice all muffled up. Can you advice please. I want something you can use for a long time, so some really comfortable over the ear headset but with noise cancelation (where I can hear my own voice + my students' voices, like there is no other voice in the world).I tried Apple airpods pro, and it was great I could hear my voice with no other surrounding sound, but I did not try it with other people talking to me, only I was recording myself talk. I was told that for long use, it is best if I get an over the ear headset. I guess I am looking for an over the ear headset which has the same qualities of Apple airpods pro where I can hear my own sound + my students' voices like there are no other sounds in the words. Please advice what is the best I could buy for my job. Appreciate it.

To enable sidetone: Open the Sound window by clicking Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound (instructions vary depending on your Control Panel view). Click the Recording tab. @HeadsetAdvisor
@HeadsetAdvisor 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bethany, great question. Every softphone operates a bit differently. But as a standard, you would press the icon of the computer on your Savi charging base. As long as that is lit up green, you would take your mouse to answer a call on the softphone and the audio would be through your headset. Some softphones allow you the capability to press the on button on your headset to answer/end calls. So, if you're in the other room and a call comes in, you get a beep tone, press the on button and you're on that call. Some softphones aren't compatible with that feature and others are. In most cases, if your softphone is compatible, you'll need to download the Plantronics Hub to enable that feature. @HeadsetAdvisor

Hi Okan, great question! I'd highly recommend the Plantronics 8220 over the Jabra Pro 9465 for 3 reasons. Although the Jabra Pro 9465 is a nice headset, I think the 8220 is overall better for these 3 reasons. 1. Larger ear cushions with active noise cancellation so you can block out noise to zone in on your calls or music, 2. The noise cancellation in the microphone is better with the 8220 over the pro 9465, 3. Much easier to set up, use and adjust compared to the Pro 9465.
