@@arny625 I can’t speak for everyone’s opinion but in my opinion if you love math and you’re passionate about the subject of physics than absolutely I would say study it, there are so many different concepts and fundamental theories and laws that are constant throughout all the STEM fields. And personally I just have a passion for learning and for gaining knowledge which is part of why I like this asmr channel so much is because he covers a huge range of topics and I believe that the more you walk up the hill of everything the easier it is to climb the mountain of a single thing. @BennyAscent
@BennyAscent 5 ай бұрын
@LetsFindOut1 your description of binding energies was very good! It's a tough concept to wrap your head around, but a good way to think about it is to think about analogous binding energies - like the energy binding a steel ball to the surface of the earth. One can increase the distance between them, essentially uncoupling the system, but it takes energy to do so - but as you noted in the video, gravity is pretty paltry in comparison to the other forces. I really recommend looking into the way debroglies formula works and then have a look at neutron absorption cross sections too. Very interesting stuff, and very much so connected to! Completely explains why fast neutrons aren't relied upon in fission reactors, and why thermal neutrons provide the lion share of reactions. I also recommend looking into the history of quantum mechanics, starting with the ultraviolet catastrophe/black body problem and plancks solution, and then the Bennett electroscope experiment that is often used to show the quantisation of light into photons. It's a hell of a journey into the world of quantum physics! Hope these pointers help.
@BennyAscent
@BennyAscent 5 ай бұрын
Oh also! Nearly forgot, a little something that you will find interesting - the force that binds nucleons into nuclei is actually only the residual of the nuclear force! The vast majority of the energy keeps quarks bound together - so much energy that if you put in the work to separate a quark from a nucleon, it would be enough to spontaneously generate the quarks needed to reconfine both parts into higher order particles!

As I delve into quantum mechanics, from esoteric perspective, you sir address many topics compiled into a single understandable video. I salute you and as a many years subscriber, I thank you for your passion for science and equal craving (way beyond hunger) to know how this material matrix works; my sciences that I had studied (scriptures in geometrical languages) you most definitely will find peace of in the works of Hegel and Oppenheimer. You're wonderful, curious, creative and, from my own experience, as I'd bet my very life, your mission is to bring the gnosis to the public. I'm still overcomplicating things but the detail is crucial in understanding the works of the Architect, however you may call God, it (the e from e=mc2) is undeniably ordered to behave in particular way and discovering/sharing such concepts, conclusions is an act of occult esoteric practice. @@LetsFindOut1 In 2013 IceCube discovered the existence of high-energy (TeV-PeV) astrophysical neutrinos, but they didn't find out where these neutrinos are coming from. So since then, many searches have been performed looking for the sources of these neutrinos. Typically, one considers a class of astrophysical objects that could be neutrino sources based on some theoretical model. Then we scan our data to see if we can find neutrinos whose arival directions correspond to the location on the sky of the astrophysical objects we're interested in. In case the astrophysical object is a transient, such as a gamma-ray burst, then you typically also search for neutrinos in a certain time window around the transient. In my own analysis, I searched for high-energy neutrinos from ultra-luminous infrared galaxies (basically galaxy mergers) but unfortunately didn't find anything significant! But this is the case for most studies; to date only three sources of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos have been identified so far - a flaring blazar (TXS 0506+056), an active galaxy (NGC 1068), and the Milky Way. The whole explanation above does not consider dark matter and I have also not been touching upon that. But there are have been many searches for dark matter with IceCube! Might be worth checking their website if you're interested in those :D and I recommend checking out their KZfaq channel (IceCube Neutrino Observatory), it might be much more educative than this comment!

maybe. when we get big enough, isn't the universe as a whole seemingly nothingness with bits of something swirling about? and when we get small enough, isn't microscopic, utterly infinitesimal distances like the planck length, defined by, when you try getting any smaller, black holes forming? nothingness at the top and nothingness at the bottom. maybe, if we can take a closer look beyond the planck length, we'll see something, small and barely noticeable, swirling about.

Thank you so much for this video! This stuff is so fascinating, and it’s my go to video type when trying to focus at work or fall asleep. I actually just made a channel and recorded an astrophysics book reading video that you should check out! It’s called Astrophysics for People On the Go, and it’s super digestible for people at all levels of cosmic knowledge!
