Because that means that she knows she can't do much on any other hero, I really hope she's not another boosted case, but given that she followed you to your death instead of just going back to spawn to wait for a group up...I fear for anyone who gets stuck with her if that's the case. Honestly, you're right; if your DPS aren't doing anything, why would you play a hero that can only enable others at what they're already doing? If you think they're so dogshit, then play a hero that isn't as dependent on her team as Mercy is.

As a support main who loves playing mercy, I’m not gonna play mercy if my dps are useless. I’m gonna go a different support to pick up their slack because they’re not doing their job. They can’t make use of my pocket. They don’t deserve it, they can’t capitalize on it, it’s okay. Play a different support. Mercy doesn’t work in every team and every comp. It’s okay bud, you can play a different support 💖 (saying this as a former mercy one trick btw, I love my girl but there are so many other supports in the game that are better)

Mercy is my most played character in the game just because I love enabling others and making them feel like a god. However if there are zero characters to enable what’s the point of the character? Every single time I see dps that i can’t mix well with I switch it’s that easy.
