If you watch that clip at .25 speed you can clearly see the ana shoot her sleep dart facing a full 180 degrees away from the genji, and still hit him. May not be the calmest, but that truly is the most rational reaction because that was a bs sleep + the soldier pretty much lived two swings of blade

They were never capable of producing that as a standalone game. What they are saying they will deliver is all it would ever have been, a string of Archives-type missions that are fun to play once or twice, at most. An entirely different studio should have been given the reigns to make a separate game. Like MGR:R.

The one thing i don't understand is why Blizzard won't make their old PVE modes permanent to play, it would be nice to play the old PVE's as well and grind the hard achievements. it would be a nice substitute for the upcoming PVE modes.

Main reason is queue times. Have you ever tried playing any of the limited time PVE modes a week or so after they come out and see how long you're waiting for queue to pop? Usually, the first few days you get fast queues and get to play them, but people get bored with them pretty soon because they lack the dept needed for replayability. PVE proper would have had the necessary depth for that replayability, unfortunately Blizzard is a small indie company and couldn't afford to expand and split the dev team to finish it and had to cancel it.

@24:33 I was actually just talking about this with my buddy the other day. For context: he's a console GM player, I'm a Plat/Diamond console player (Masters Open Q, but that don't count lol), so we run Quick Play whenever we play together (we also run it with a PC buddy). But we were talking about how there's really no such thing as a "casual OW session" anymore. I'm guessing it's because of his higher MMR, but literally every QP game is filled with Masters/GM sweats and try-hards running the good ole Pharmercy comp with discord and JQ, while we're over here just trying to have a good time lol. We've been trying to get a couple of our friends back into OW2 (they quit during/since the OW1 dead period), and like, they've experienced maybe 1 "fun" game out of 20 where the rest is just playing the unofficial version of high-SR ranked. It's kind of a bummer that they'll likely never get back into OW because of this, but then again, maybe it's good for them that they'll never get sucked into this pit of despair 😂

When a hanzo shoots randomly and gets a kill on an enemy they can't see, no one bats an eye. When a junkrat kills a player without seeing them or knowing where they are, everyone loses their minds. 0:54

Probably a hotter take. I think the whole campaign thing is a big dumb vanity project created by a man who no longer works for the company. To me thee project was going nowhere have you ever critically looked at the ai in the archives event? It’s dumb as shit the only one that was half decent was the black watch thing with the special enemies. The ai doomfist in the starwatch event is proof enough for me that the pve stuff has been a massive fucken waste of time and resources that should have been used WORKING ON THE PVP FOCUSED COMPETITIVE FPS. Games really need to stop trying to be the next destiny it’s killing series.

1:10 that kill was Hanzo arrow + Kiriko dagger, in 1:11 there is a frame where you can see Hanzo shooting an arrow and luckily it impacts almost at the same time as Kiriko shot, you can also see ML7 dead body when an arrow in the stomach

I'm nowhere near as excited as I was in 2019. They've got a gold mine of a story's worth of lore and are doing jack squat with it. I wanted to see the story in game like intended. (I'll take a show too like Arcane) But yea, I'd be fine waiting another 2-3 years for a full campaign like they promised so long as the pvp isn't completely neglected like they did before.
