I believe that we should have more charity events for skins like Pink Mercy

I have alien Zarya and wasn't playing when it was refunded. I didn't even know who it was for and for a long time didn't know it was controversial. To me its the men in black skin lmao

I understand the idea of making Pink Mercy so limited but the change to Overwatch 2 brings a HUGE new playerbase who never got the chance to even experience this event. Bringing it back for one more time would give way more players the opportunity to get a pretty skin and do some good in the world + the amount of money would be so freaking much! If not Pink Mercy, make another Skin for the same organization. Games like Overwatch with such a huge following should be used to collect money for such important organizations

For the pink mercy skin, I think they could make a new charity foundation to help other charity's, and make a diffrent skin for a limited time like the did with mercy and sell it with the same price, it would be a win-win situation, they could also bring back the pink mercy skin with the new skin. They could also make the pink mercy skin cheaper.

I would LOVE to see another Pink Mercy charity event! I personally know people who have gone through breast cancer. I wasn't playing the game when Pink Mercy came out, so I would get it if they did it again. Also even if I did have it already I would still donate regardless. I think it's a great way for a community to show support to people who need it.

Pink mercy is a REALLY difficult topic to navigate as it has a lot of controversy but here's my opinion. I think the skin should return. I appreciate that it claimed to be a ''1 time thing'' but plenty other skins followed that same claim, however since it is a skin which is partially owned by another corporation which makes the skin returning really tricky, however the bcrf have claimed that they continue to be in contact with blizzard and would be open to another collaboration ( this is info from before the SA cases so it could easily be outdated or could have changed, but to my knowledge there haven't been any changes however I might be wrong ) ! I do think that returning the skin would make massive benefits toward helping the BCRF ( possibly tremendously more than before ) and therefore don't really see a reason why they wouldn't bring it back. In 2018 people didn't know that the skin was going to return and therefore probably bought it, but that could be the same for plenty of other cosmetics in fairness! I think that if the skin returned then it would make massive contributions to the bcrf, even if purchasing the skin came from a place of selfishness, profits are still going to a good cause! One thing i'd like to note is that claiming that you don't want the skin to return because it's 'legacy' or 'rare' also defeats the purpose of it being a charity skin. To me the skin symbolises hope and contributing towards fixing a problem in dire need of attention and using the skin to express the ''haha I have it and u don't'' factor doesn't exactly put a good face on it ( i am aware that many people who use the skin do want to help and there is no problem with that, keep using it to spread the message, but there are people who undermine the cause of the skin in order to flex. Imo saying you don't want the skin to return because of legacy reasons is just as selfish as wanting it to return purely for the cosmetic! ) All of this is my personal opinion and i do expect people to disagree with some points and that's fine, but just wanted to express how i feel. I personally don't have the skin and i don't really care, but if it came back then that would be pretty nice. I'm an atlantic mercy girlie :)

I would die of happiness if they choose to bring the charity event and the Mercy skin back. I got into OW way too late because of personal circumstances, so I missed the opportunity to get the skin when it was available. My mom was fighting cancer, especially breast cancer for most of my life, and she passed shortly after I turned 17. OW genuinely is my safe place now and has been for a while, so I would love to not only own this skin as a personal kind of reminder of my mom and connecting her to something that brings me joy, but I would also love for another charity event to happen because that's something that's always needed. I would happily support. Please, Blizzard. Bring it back. Please. ♥

We shouldn’t always be on the victim side, first off without knowing the whole story first and people lie all the time we need to see the accuser and who’s being accused parts of the situation these days we can’t go off someone’s word without seeing everybody’s side

A man or woman being accused of sexual assault is serious, don’t go hating on someone cause of a accusation cause that’s just gonna rune their life if they are actually innocent, you can comfort the person making the accusation but just don’t go trying to rune someone’s life in case on the off chance they are innocent. Men and women everywhere can and have made false reports and made peoples lives living hell. I hate tho when a faker gets believed over some one actually telling the truth, it’s stupid and repulsive.

Zaryas SKIN should be back. No Casual players will associate it with Sinaatra. The only hardevidence was the audiorecording which isnt really convincing. They talked to eachother really casually in that recording. Nothing was proven. Sinattra remains innocent.

Pretty much every single "limited time" skin in Overwatch has returned to the game. Vaulted skins like the OWL non -team skins like Zen Nakji Midas Hog etc, OWL grey, limited time weekly skins and even Widowmaker Noire has returned to the game now. The only limited time skins that hasn't returned are the Blizzcon and the Pink Mercy skins. You can argue that's it's a little bit unfair to treat these skins differently than the other limited time skins. Yes the non-team OWL limited time skins and Widowmaker Noire were available for purchase with "real" money just like the Blizzcon and the Pink Mercy skins so people can't use the argument that "well all the skins that came back were free ones". I have no issue with limited time skins returning but then I think it should appply to all skins and not just randomly being lucky some of the skins will return.

I actually kept my alien zarya skin, so far in Overwatch 2, i have seen only one other player rocking it. I Personaly dont connect the skin to Sinatra, for me its just a pretty cool and rare skin

No, we should not bring back pink mercy. We should bring back the charity event for sure, but with a different pink skin. As much as new players want that skin, IF blizzard decides to bring it back, they have to bring other rare skins back as well, such as Reinhardt's Raynhardt Skin, Widowmaker's Kerrigan and Brigitte's Medic Skin. They were all *exclusively* available for a short amount of time, for some money or for supporting certain streamers. If they decide to bring one rare skin back, they have to bring all the rare skins back and that takes away the exclusivity they advertised those skins with.

My issue with the zarya skin is that it was a really good and well done skin and the “victim” was lying and the guy was found not guilty therefor the whole “believe the victims” logic goes straight out the window since we have seen this way too many times with women lying to try and ruin a man’s career and reputation. They should just honestly bring the skin back to the shop and a lot of us zarya player will pay for it.

I like how they won't bring back the Pink Mercy skin, and I have only played Overwatch 2. Its exclusivity shows that you were willing to donate to a specific charity at a time that wasn't necessarily convenient for you. It would be awesome to see new charity skins created for other characters so long as they are treated with the same exclusivity.

As someone who has pink mercy I wouldn't mind her coming back once a year with them adding a new different character skin each year on top of it

I bought pink mercy and honestly, it's not even my favorite but I actually bought it because it was FOR charity ngl. Also I actually forgot that Echo skin was an MVP skin, I use it still to this day haha, it's good.

As someone who would like pink mercy (and for that matter does not have) I would agree with not bringing it back unless it was for the sake of its charity and not a profit. However, blizzards done recolours a lot. Why not go to other colours for other types of cancers: i.e grey mercy for brain cancer, light blue for prostate etc. I understand that pink and whatnot is mercy's theme as a fairy and is a colour fitting of her character but that doesnt stop other colours from existing on her skins!

No, we really shouldn't always be on the alleged victim's side. I don't know the court details or what the "hard evidence" was, and if it was very obvious and blatant then yes you should side with the victim because they're proven to be a victim. But that doesn't mean you should always side with an alleged victim. "You should always side with the victim because they're the ones suffering" they aren't suffering if they're making it up. Too many lives have been ruined by women who have weaponized false allegations for this mindset to be adopted. What has been and should always be the approach is "innocent until proven guilty".

I think due to what happened to Kwite, it should be innocent till proven guilty. You may think “it is better to believe someone who lied than an abuser!” Though that thinking in not logical. People unfortunately lie and that accusation will remain, even if it is proven false. I understand victims need to be heard, though you can listen while remaining neural.

You forgot to mention they stripped the Zarya skin of any reference to the player or the team. It used to have trophies and insignia on it. It’s just an alien skin now.

Funny thing is that by removing Alien Zarya from the game, they elevated it to a status symbol, as it becomes rarer by the day. So, now instead of shaming Sinaatra, that skin is the ultimate homage as they made it a prestige skin for those who still have it.

They also don't have full copy right over Pink Mercy. The BCRF also owns copy right over PM. And it's likely that the BCRF wont do anything else with Blizzard due to all the allegations and such that have cropped up over the years.

I feel that it would be fair enough for a one time rerun of Pink Mercy due to the massive influx of new people playing Overwatch 2. It would be more so a rerun for the "new" game and I'm sure it would raise quite a lot of money because of that. Also, if they bring back Alien Zarya, they should make it a non-league skin and instead place it within the shop. I'd hate to see a really cool/well put together skin that the creative team ideated, developed and created be inaccessible due to somebody who had nothing to do with the development outside of the idea for the skin's actions. The Merry skin probably isn't going to change though... but hey, it might make for a great recycled free gift like Gingerbread Bastion at next years Winter wonderland! Sorta....

You forgot to mention the first iteration of Hanzo's 'Casual' skin. It was so bad and had so many users complain about it (rightly so imo) that they had to remake the skin lol

My best friend has the pink Mercy and he almost didn't got it, he wasn't working at the time and it is more expensive here in Brazil, so he had to beg his mom for it and he was totally right in doing so, this is one of the most beautiful and cute skins, and also has a beautiful meaning

Why not just have pink Mercy available for a few weeks during breast cancer awareness month every year? Add a weapon charm that also goes towards charity etc. Seems simple.

Now this is a 'he said she said' situation, but from what I hear, the BCRF actually wouldn't mind if Blizzard brought the skin and other bits back. So if that's to be believed, it's literally on Blizzard as to why it has not made a return in the form of a charity event to raise more money for them. (Also, men can suffer from breast cancer too, not just women.)

I don't believe in mercy main opinions, you hold a staff and hold down two buttons all game and max out your dpi, your skin does nothing and your mouse begs you to stop

Actually that Mei skin have special voice line in custom voice line "You have to let it go", normally Mei would say "You have to let it go", but if you use that skin she would say "You have to let it snow" It is a small detail, but I am not sure if it is still in the game When OW2 just released, I did some testing, it still has special voice line in Chinese dub, but there was no special voice line in English I don't know if they fixed it yet

I do NOT think that they should bring back pink mercy. It was a limited time skin and was marketed as a limited time skin. If it returned it would cause an outrage among those who bought it (I didn't btw). However, they could and should make a new skin and use that for charity purposes.
