If anyone says “OW2 didn’t need PvE” or “There are better PvE games out there” that isn’t the point. OW1 has a dry spill while OW2 was in development for like 3 years and then OW2 released without its main selling point. The PvE is what would’ve made OW2 feel like a sequel instead of “The Biggest Patch in History.” It not coming is almost a spit in the face of everyone who waited for it and wanted to play OW2 for the PvE.

As a casual player, I have no reason to play Overwatch anymore.

Flats, please, Kiriko's EPIC quality/priced Visual K skin has more detail than her Tatsumaki skin, with similar changes. New hair, thigh highs on her legs, rather than tights, and a new color pallet that ISN'T flat black. You can like it all you want, that's all gucchi, but it's 100% not worthy of being called a Legendary. It's about as worthy as Moira's mime skin. On top of that, we have countless higher quality Epics, even some released in OW2.

Moira is essentially empty stats in high ranks. I've seen moiras with 12k+ healing and 7k+ damage and their team gets absolutely stomped. And yes, this has happened to me and against me

I got defense on a coin flip on Hanamura back when the only defense hero I knew how to play well was Mei. We actually won, a Reinhardt held his shield at the gate and i put up an ice wall whenever his shield was about to break

The sad thing is that they have the basics for PvE in game, but wont expand on it. Their plan from the start was obviously the battle pass and shop. They had no true plans for PvE.

My cynical theory is that the dev team couldn’t figure out a good way to monetize the PvE skill trees, so they were told to cut it since Actiblizz wasn’t going to see a ROI with it. Actiblizz genuinely only care about money now, and if an idea gets brought to the table that isn’t going to actively make money, then it isn’t worth doing at all.

To be honest, I absolutely don't care about the pve content in overwatch 2. But it makes me wildly angry that, in fact, Blizzard hasn't done anything for 4 years. They have been doing PVE for 4 years, which will not happen, and PVP at this time suffered like no one else. It was a game with huge potential and development paths, but the developers killed it. P.S: Even in overwatch 1, new heroes came out and they were broken in a good or bad way. So what prevents them from just releasing new heroes at least once a month, to begin with, just in a casual mod, collect data from MILLIONS of players who will already play on it and make him the right patch? And it seems to me that absolutely no one, that's no one at all, will be upset if we get the plot of the character and his story not immediately, but just after 3-4 months.

Finally flats being once not absolutely anti moira xD I absolutely agree, she isn't as op or powerful like people think, but she is absolutely flexible and have the best survivability in the team and the heals can be HARDCORE my boyfriend once had all the supports heals vounted together as HIS healing stat! He is insane on moira, he always got you covered no matter the scenario, I get out of the blue flanked off team? No prob he got me covered? Or dps that dies almost in the enemies backline? 3 secs later covered too! He always hunts for best heal stats in lobby 😂 And he is actually always really frustrated if he lets someone die. Tho sometimes when he picks moura people are immediately complaining just to later thank him for the amazing saves. It's somtimes really based tbh

As a software developer, personally nothing feels worse than spending hundreds of hours working on a project that is SICK as hell, and then being told it isn't going to be released.

OW2 PVE content is pretty much: you order a delivery of an amazing, juicy burger from a posh place, excitedly wait for it to arrive, you open the box and find a McDonalds cheeseburger inside.

I think one of the most devastating things about the PvE cancellation for me is; I’m sure many people would LOVE to drop playing Overwatch 2. It’s empty. There is nothing there anymore. They used to justify everything being so expensive by saying it would be used for PvE development, and maybe it WAS when it was actually still being worked on, but what do we have now? I’d love to stop playing Overwatch 2. The community is repulsive, you can’t go one ranked match without some idiot spamming slurs in the chat because their moderation system is dogshit, skins are overpriced, the battle pass is useless, most events are terrible, and the matchmaking is downright pathetic. But how can I leave when, between cosmetics and battle passes, I’ve spent over $200?? I can’t just drop something I’ve invested so much time and money into. Part of me thinks this was Blizzard’s plan along, to get their playerbase to over-invest in empty promises, so that then they’ll want to cling on to the franchise to get their money’s worth of content. I’m sure a lot of us feel this way. We’ll never be able to trust Blizzard/Activision again. I feel bad for the developers too. They worked really hard on it, just to have the whole project cancelled.

That guy said “do you just want to play against other bots?” Yes, yes I do. I just made a new Fortnite account to play with my friend. Neither of us really play ever. I’m pretty sure both our hours combined wouldn’t even be a tenth of what either of us had in overwatch. Fortnite puts new accounts in bot lobbies so they don’t get crushed immediately. We quickly won the first two games and it was so much fun, being able to just goof around try to kill each other, almost kill my self testing out that purple mythic in a gas station, just having fun. After those two games the difficulty was upped immensely, we haven’t won a game since and we’ve played probably around 10. Now we wound dare do anything fun or stupid because if we aren’t at full no we will just lose the next fight. The game just quickly becomes really stressful and I have enough stress in my life, I don’t need it in video games too.
