These overwater bungalows are gorgeous! I love how they form a heart shape and they are so well appointed! Such a good idea having a glass floor so you can see the water below and I like how there's a separate entry to the bathroom from the balcony area if you want to take a quick shower after a swim.

I would love to also, but I probably can't afford this and i live and work in NYC. So chances are that 98% of the Jamaican People can't afford this either, even the ones working here in NYC as well. So sad how these places don't have a "Locals Appreciation Day" :o/

They're on concrete pillars so they're a lot more sturdy than the bungalows in Bora Bora.

We just got back from Sandals montego bay royal carribean these bungalows are gorgeous we obviously cannot afford this luxury the base model price is $1,500.00 per night.

The villas are nice but ocean and beach is incomparable to Maldives-there is no coral reef close by and so the water is not as pure and same goes for the marine life.I think the initial idea was to have water villas same as in the Maldives however in Maldives the water hardly rises even during a storm because the island itself is protected by the coral reef so I am not quite sure how it will work here during raining season when you can get bit by really bad tropical storms?

We have been to the Maldives during the monsoon season and the water level there rises, a lot. Just like in the Maldives these have been built knowing the tides can and will rise. The Maldives and Jamaica are completely different trips. Each has something the other lacks. In the Maldives you are on a very small island with the only thing on the island is the resort - in Jamaica you are connected to a large island in the Caribbean with lots of interesting culture. The Maldives are amazing, but you don't have to put other places down especially without visiting them. Keep you glass half full no matter which water you prefer.

I've wondered the same thing about these over the water resorts. They must have a pump of some sort (vacuum?) because there's no way to get enough slope.

The rooms are a bit underwhelming Imo. Most that is offered here seems to be the over water experience. Several resorts on the island offer far more for less $$$
