Ex Hubicus Bastardus didn't joke about me, he was straight-up cruel. I was heavy when he met me and heavy when he married me. He once pointed to a young girl whose jeans were so tight they looked painted on, and asked me "Why can't you look like that?" By the time I left him he'd called me a stupid g**k so often that I believed it, and I resigned myself to spending the rest of my life alone because I didn't think anyone would ever want me. I had a friend in elementary school named Belinda. One of the boys was verbally and physically abusing her right there in the class in front of us all. I told him to leave her alone. He turned and punched me right in the nose less than a week after it had been broken by someone else due to me protecting the other kids from the bullies.
