New players should NEVER get boosted, as it weakens their character's benefits.... check 'P'. Contribution and energy are ALL gained initially by doing the Main Quests, and actually repeatedly 'speaking' to NPCs with Alts give a boost to knowledge to be learnt. A NEW Player should do the main questlines from Balenos all the way through to Land of Eternal Winter, with the only possible exception being the Valencia Part II, but have an alt do it later. Land of Morning Light.... have the NEXT seasonal do it. Why? Knowledge and Contribution points. Speaking to every NPC with a question mark over head as well, to the extent of actually exploring every region and not doing quests you come upon unless they interest you, or have Combat EXP as part of the rewards. On a Seasonal server, you'll be surprised just how much you gain from doing the above. It may seem over the top, BUT you will benefit when you start your POST seasonal life. Oh and you don't have to worry about PKers as I did back in the Dim Dark Ages of 2016 on Seasonals as PvP is BANNED, except for the Seasonal that Allows it, and that is NOT season 2,3 or 4.

Thx for the tips, we may with some friends get back into the game and this video is on point. I'm planning on playing the class the most appealing to me, but should I maybe stay away from certain class as a high ping player (I guess between 180 and 220)?

have to say some things are still confusing. Does Seasonal mean the Characters get deleted at the end? Should you save that time thingy (cloning item) for switching to perma server? What is transferable? Do I activate costime coupons in season server or perma server (same for codes)?

Yeah, when I see the UI it immediately turns me off. I want at least a ui for necesarry stuff. Can't find a decent guide about it.

If I recall correctly and they haven't changed it, you have to hit level 7 before you can adjust your UI. Just a heads up for new players, the alerts are extremely overwhelming and confusing when you first start. I'm still not sure why they are enabled by default

@@KingJerbear i play several MMOs and ui customization is where I take my time on. It just feel odd why you can't change the entire UI. Some UI elements are just not changeable.

@@aren_gee I'm confused, it's very changeable. At least the legacy ui is, I'm unaware of the new ui. Try switching to legacy ai, you might like it more. Also biceptimusprime's bdo beginner guide has a section on settings and alerts.

@scorpdelord883 in order to actually pay to win, you'd have to spend a ridiculous amount of money. It's possible, sure. But the smaller, more tangible p2w elements like pets, inventory, and weight... they throw them at you for free now. Especially on a seasonal character. After the season, you are left with a decently powerful character that has a lot of the game opened up to them to explore and grind at.

Yeah just wait till suckers reach end game than you find yourself in searching for another MMO

@@scorpdelord883 yeah theres no more ptw for the mass majority of players, you would have to dump thousands a month to ignore just a few hours of grinding, and like others have said all the stuff like weight, invintory, and pets have been solved. in fact theres a code rn that just gives you a free t4 pet which is prior unheard of. the only thing you could say is value pack which is just the monthly sub like in other mmos. and if youre a new player you can buy a years worth for 60 dollars in the pearl shop by purchasing the 6000 plus 6000 pearl box item. i hope you love the game :)

It also has dungeons and weekly bosses for those who like that content

i wanted to change my seasonal character because i dislike my first choice ( new player here) if i deleete my first character would i lose everything? im only like level 7though. i guess for context i chose ninja, but after watching some guides im taking a liking into either striker warrior now. what should i do?

@@zayndot7288 At level 7 you should definitely delete and start over. If there's anything you want to save, just put them in a storage npc/bank, and you can take them out on your new character once you remake it.

Do you have a better suggestion for leveling? His suggestion is get boosted and thats it. Thats not exactly a good suggestion for someone whos never played the game.

@@c0rrupt3dsidd true, i'd do some MSQ - till the Altinova region is complete. and then depending on your AP, finish awakening quest and I'd grind Abandoned Iron Mine till lvl 58 and then go to Gahaz and you can sit there till lvl 60... remember to upgrade your gear from time to time

Sometimes try to right click on the item and see if it can track npc maybe u will be able to exchange it to something better. :)

lol what depth, you run around in circles in one spot or run around in circles in another spot, that's the entire game. no real bosses, no real dungeons or raids, no actual endgame except running around in circles and doing shitty pvp

It's an MMO that's been out for years. It's only natural that there would be a ton of systems that weren't there originally. The good thing is you don't HAVE to do everything. There's just not enough hours in a day.

Yeah I wouldn’t worry about that I promise as long as your doing the steps in your season pass, you’ll be one shooting things anyway if your upgrading your gear. I mean if your on your fourth character then I’d probably start to worry about that.

I disagree, you don't learn anything by leveling slow.... Get someone boost you to lv56 or 60 and than do storyline and spam R thru story and you don't have to worry about level or gear... The game isn't about story, it's about gear and griding.

I definitely agree. I always stay away from experience boosters as much as possible on my first playthrough of a game. If you use them, you won't fully experience the actual fun, difficulty, creativity and all the game has to offer.

It'll automatically converted to a regular character and all your items will carry over to the regular servers.

It's probably the overloaded servers atm because of the high influx of players. I've replayed the main quest a ton of times but never have I encountered those.

Truth. Console version is different than PC, often lagging behind.

There was an account transfer that if u missed it is gone. Anyway if u havent play for that long make sure u make a season char and that will take u further than u were when u left the game :)

@@RashdosEU no i missed it main reason i want too switch is because id rather play on steam. My main account is pretty loaded tbh. Atleast it was for the time. Got all my characters too 55 and my main being the dark knight too 60.

@@mossen98 What he meant is that when Kakao stopped publishing the game if you didn't transfer your account to Pearl Abyss, the account was removed (legality reasons). So you'll probably have to make a new one. But I bet within a month of playing you'll have more progress than you ever had on your original account thanks to the modern catch-up mechanics and current event freebies

This is why I can't get into it. I understand a game having a lot of content, but this game is just too much info overload. Even the UI is a lot to figure out. I don't want to have to watch hours worth of guide videos to understand everything
