What I loved the most about this movie was the double standard it showed and how it can spark up an interesting conversation. Why should a woman be ashamed to be in a relationship with a younger man but it is all normal when it is the other way around? Loved the end even if it’s very different from the book’s!

Ok ,it’s official ,I need an intervention,I’m completely obsessed with this movie and this handsome ,talented young man that I’ve never heard of ,I love Anne Hathaway ,but OMG,this movie just mesmerized me .

Loved this movie, it reminds me of my past. I met a young man, named Sean who was only 21, and I was 42. We both fell head over heals for each other. For about 8 years it was the very best time of my life! Sean gave me love which I have never, ever experienced with another. It's sad, but good memories and I don't regret it for one moment in time. He's married now, I suppose he is happy. I wish him well, but I truly miss him.

This is such a great edit, and the fact that the movie just released makes it 100 times better as the transition is so smooth and every frame is so clear. This movie is beyond my expectations. I thought I would hate it as it might be cliche, but it’s not. The first half of the movie is kind of predictable, but after that, it becomes less so. When they hit a downfall in their relationship, we thought it would be the only obstacle they go through, but it hits way harder after that, to the point that there are no way they could ever make it work. I like how their relationship doesn’t come off as creepy or 'grooming'. He fell for her because of how real and interesting she is, and she never forces him to be with her. In fact, she refuses because of the age difference, but he’s genuinely in love with her, and then she gets on board with it. The movie's main point is about the age difference and gap, and I like how it tells the audience why she doesn’t want to be in a relationship with a mid-20s pop star. First, she points out how her age could be like his "mom's" age, then at the pool, she realizes she’s too old to get along with his friends or his 'crowd'. Then she realizes that she’s actually ashamed to be dating a younger man, and then how it affects her daughter’s life, which literally stops her from seeing him again. It’s such a great portrayal of how a relationship with an age difference could go wrong. It is also a great reminder of how toxic and crazy the life of a famous pop star really is and it’s literally not their fault to begin with. Fans, paparazzi, news outlets, and the internet ruin his personal life and life choices just because he have a career that everyone can see. Like when the news first broke out when they were seen together, it’s so damn hectic for the pop star and a non celeb’s personal life. It becomes everyone’s opinion now. Then what happened to her daughter is truly tragic. It’s straight up harassment and bullying for the ones that are close to a celebrity. Like it’s not her fault even, she is just the daughter of a woman that dates a well known man. It has so many takeaways, and it was told in the movie so well that we know what they are dealing with. I know it’s based on a book, but a movie could screw up the whole plot, but this one didn’t. The ending is kind of realistic, a time jump, but we don’t know what will happen. It’s a hopeful one instead of a cliche happy ending, which is so great to see. The smiles, the gaze and how their faces lights up without saying a word it’s way better than a cliche one. So far, it's the best Harry fanfic/inspired story turned movie. After was kind of shit; it portrays hardin to be toxic and controlling because he loves her, but here hayes isn’t an asshole, yes he did do that same gesture; dedicating a song to a girl he likes and who is way older than him, but he proves to her that he’s actually in love with solene; instead of wanting a brief fling. And how he fights for them shows how he cares so much, he even said he can throw away his whole career to be with her after she said they need to end things because her daughter’s life goes haywire. And the way he kept his promise to see her again in 5 years time, dude is just a walking green flag, and it maybe one of the reasons why this movie score high rating. If anybody didn’t watch the movie yet, please do. It’s great, it’s fast pace and it’s not cringe. Anne and Nicholas are such great actors though.

Yesterday I watched the movie and I fell in love with it!!! And I was crying after the ending because it made me think things and I just add it to my favourite list of cinema/series after TO all the boys I have loved before and others😭❣️🫰

Je n’ai pas aimé du tout ce film. Je ne suis pas très « comédie romantique » mais il y en a de beaucoup mieux. Et pourtant, j’aime beaucoup Anne Hathaway. Elle met en avant leur différence d’âge mais ne refuse pas vraiment ses avances et au contraire est très aguicheuse avec lui. Nicolas fait beaucoup plus mûr que 24 ans et elle fait gamine. De plus je trouve que La différence d’âge ne se voit pas beaucoup.
