My theory on what lead up to the eventual fall of Owen Hart, when he fell approx 78 feet from the rafters of Kemper Arena in Kansas City back on MAy 23rd 99.

Using scabs and not wanting to pay a rigger who had refused to do stunts that violated OSHA guidelines in the past is a bad look for a company making that much money. Pure negligence; never should have been wearing a safety harness that hadn’t been tested and wasn’t approved. Solid grounded in logic theory on your part. 👍

It makes a whole lot of sense..by owen adjusting his arms and cape triggering quick release.. its was tragic event i never forget
@MixerMadness

Yeah I just think he heard his music and went to do the arm movement because the cameras would be on him so as that happens, he falls...

I think the cable was set to release early , that cable is suppose to have a safty thing and can hold over a 1000 pounds even more , but like all things you get lemons that snap , like a on a cable you hook handles or ropes at the gym to a machine a hook i used one it snapped on me i went flying and one of the workers came over and said i have never seen one snap like that like the hard steel or whatever metal but it did it in the middle so it might have been just bad luck

There are sworn statements (perhaps even depositions) from the stunt rigors for the Police investigation into it: That Owen was adjusting his cape or making some kind of movements that triggered his release. I don't think we'll ever know if it had to do with him starting to gesture for his entrance or not, it might be something only Owen could answer. I theorize although he was briefed that the release was easier to trigger, he was so used to naturally adjusting and making some light moments while suspended that he did it naturally, but it triggered the release.

Dude, I think you nailed it. Great job. That's what the police report said, that Bobby Talbert said he stretched his arms and that caused his shackle to release. Still, that shackle should've never been on him. For that to release that easily, should've never happen. It was never secure.

Interesting take on it...one I've not heard before... The one thing I'll never forget about that night was Jim Ross announcing his death and the fans behind him are totally oblivious to the fact that Owen had died... Just before JR makes the announcement, Kevin Dunn tells him to make the announcement, JR says 'what is the announcement' Dunn said 'Owens dead, and your back on in 10...9...' Dunn couldn't have been any colder if he'd climbed into a freezer

No new theories are needed. It’s just a tragic loss and Owen would’ve been a multi time world champion in more than one promotion because he would’ve won the WWE title many times and probably joined TNA and AEW.

So bottom line is you are stating that the B.B. motions set off the release prematurely or accidently when in fact it should have been triggered open when Owen reached closer to the canvas, there was also talk about the mechanism used that day was not up to par or appropiate enough, + had been changed from the regular one that was recommended for specific reasons, why would they even allow him to move around + about on the cable when he was in mid-air that sounds like a safety issue in it self, mind you I've seen artists when making videos moving feely on a cable that used a harness but not 70 to 100 feet up, what really sucks also is the show kept going which is controversial + disrespectful to Owen + his fans, + abusive mental cruelty to the other wrestlers booked on the card that were friends etc. yet the excuse used was to save a possible riot which has no merit or truth for a reason, McMahon could afford to take the loss in shutting it down + then refunding the employees + customers that would have been the right thing to do, but no he had to dishonestly scam it to make money hope he gets what's coming to him in jail he totally deserves it.

Height-Weight (Velocity) by distance fell (78 feet) there are many sites that give you the length of a fall by putting those factors in to a calculator. Now Wind can play a roll but I didn't have the wind factor, since it was indoors its safe to imagine it wouldn't of played a huge role so that's how I got the length of time.

A lot of people blame the company, and fair enough, but ultimately your boss in life is you. You’re your own safety expert. The last stop. What I’m saying is Owen 1) shouldn’t have agreed to do it. 2) Then he shouldn’t have been dicking around adjusting shit after he left the catwalk. Obviously we all make mistakes. I’m just saying the company wasn’t the only one who did so on that night.

I actually saw that when it happened, and at first it really caught me off guard, because I was thinking it was a part of the act, but when I saw H.H basically run to where he landed and heard J.R. say 'oh my god', I knew right then it was real not a part of the act.

I have seen interviews where thet say that when Owen Hart fell, he hit the top rope and it propelled him to the inside of the ring, but in the actual video, it shows him basically doing a faceplant on the corner turnbuckle and the momentum of that hit, then caused him to fall to the outside in front of the metal barrier seperating the crowd.

and unfortunately they used that so he could fall flat on his face when he was five feet from the canvas. To make him look silly, That's why that was done. "This whole thing was done for that moment." Like Bret Hart said

Good video, i am a big Owen Hart fan, and was 14 when he died. It screwed me up. Owen Hart was murdered, he was sacrificed. All of us 90s kids were apart of the ritual. This is why we can’t let it go.

@MixerMadness
@MixerMadness 5 ай бұрын
Well I'm using facts from the case (When he fell literally was 5 seconds after his theme hit during the video package) you can till this by the spanidh audio. It's assuming in some areas yes, outside the fact we know the quick release did open up from hid adjusting himself or moving in the motion i described. As detailed as my description was, the biggest thing I wanted to make clear was I feel he did the wing waving motion when his entrance music hit, in the video promo for his match. I feel he thought the cameras were on him due to the music playing (He's right next to the sound in the air) and that's what made the quick release go. It's all speculation of course

highly doubt it, I think McMahon hated that this whole thing happened at all. Its one of those theories though...I think when you look back it just 'looks that way'. I would believe the Benoit family was murdered and they made it look like Chris did it before I;d believe this but its what it is

My theroy is after he injured Stone Cold, Vince felt Owen did the piledriver on Austin's neck on purpose. Vince realized Owen Hart cost him millions, possibly billions in future revenue due to personal feelings. I believe it was rigged. It was revenge.
