RAS ... is it basically a metaphor for the limbic system? if not: a differenciation-vid would be nice !!
@spol
@spol 3 жыл бұрын
@@davidfuturissimo467 You never fully get rid of it.. it's the operating system making sure you are improving and meeting its needs. More than likely you can get much happier and grateful though. You are probably distracting yourself with tons of low-level dopamine hits. Slowly cut all the crutches out of your life. Stuff like drugs, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, laziness, daydreaming, porn, tv watching, social media, video games, etc.. Figure out what your body is craving and build that lifestyle and mindset. Take yourself to the next level and then choose to embrace the now. Start loving the journey, start loving yourself, and most importantly start loving life. That includes all of its flaws. But understand everything is temporary including you and that's ok. That's what I did and I'm feeling so much better. Hope this helps you.
@angel.carranco2
@angel.carranco2 3 жыл бұрын
@@toltacoatl brother, RAS means what your brain chooses to focus on (because of certain conditions or events) for example when you buy a new car or any item you suddenly start SEEING the same car all around you because your focus is on that, and because your focus is on that, you start blocking other objects, this is meant to preserve energy as an evolutionary trait. This is the reason why some people live in scarcity or abundance, through certain life events, they’ve been wire to see (their RAS) the abundance or scarcity and block the rest

I went full in on RSD for 2 years, or maybe 3, cant remember. Improved myself and went from the clown good kid to owning myself and beeing me (carefree, etc all the things you learn on RSD); stoped watching and focused on other things (money, health, my own business and college). But sometimes is good coming back and watching or hearing some ideas just to stop and remember them.

Your content has changed my life man. Absolutely no joke. I'll be forever grateful to have found your videos and the community of people you've helped share their ideas. I grew up in SoCal and it took me listening to you to realize how good I had it, and how surrounded I was by amazing, warm people. I try to live by what you said 'I just assume everyone is my friend' when entering new situations and it's made all the difference. My takeaway in my own words: People overall may have emotional addictions that cause them to unconsciously screw their heaven up and turn it into what has traumatized them; abandonment issues, anger & frustration, loneliness, putting people on a pedestal, etc. Having boundaries for yourself means you have standards, when you have standards, you also attract others w standards So much more to this video than these two points, definitely going to rewatch! Thanks again Owen, I’m looking forward to coaching with you one day dude 🤘🏽

This is unreal. I just had an experience last night, I was in emotional pain, but somehow it turned into gratitude. I felt connected to God, and all I could say through it was "Thank you". Love and gratitude, even for those that did you wrong, even for your "enemies". We are all on our journey, so when we practice love and forgiveness and understanding to those mentally afflicted by the chaos of the world and society today, then we can grow.

This content is wonderful man! I've been watching you for 8-9 years now... I'm in a great relationship for 6 year because of your channel! We meet in the club, after I went out meeting people for 2 years, 2-3 times a week. I had the confidence and basic skills to talk to her and take her home ( it wasn't that hard cause we liked each other a lot from the start, I just had to be good enough not to ruin the vibe ) and after that we started knowing each other better and better and we fell in love! Huge thanks for that! I see that the quality of your content is miles ahead of what it was a few years ago! It's much more organized and compact! You drop a lot of knowledge with fewer words and the way it's edited and organized makes it very easy to assimilate! Thank you for changing my life and so many others! You're an Angel Owen!

Powerful stuff. I love the part where you mentioned to make a list of all the good and bad things a person brings to the table. I too made this list to cut off a long time friend and ex girlfriend of several years. Putting it on paper really makes it clear that some people really are toxic. I even did the tip of waiting several days before I acted on it to make sure I wasn't trippin. Ultimately it was best to cut both and my life has been more amazing since.

That "energy" that supposes that "the grass is greener on the other side" can be useful, for example: scientists trying to get humans on Mars- We just have to be cognizant of where these natural human emotions are directed at. There is always a use for negative emotions such as anxiety, fear, outcome dependence, and ungratefulness. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin

Quicknotes (I always take them quickly so they may not make sense but it's what I got) -Notes- Untargeted discontent - Triangulation Next Shinny Object Syndrome - Validation - don't leak validation easily Don't give away power easily Ignore them even more they chase more People subconsciousness think "don't put any more effort into this relationship they already like you" "but this person doesn't like you" Can't be the easily spun plate Gotta (non verbally) communicate you have other options, open to a synergistic relationship, but that (non vocalized) boundary is there There's always a little validation left to get from you there's always that little bit of mystery because you have substance. Leave a bit more to keep them engaged. Allow people the gift of missing you allow people the gift of anticipation. Allow people the space to create a win win Untargeted discontent, tension will start building and building towards that person (or thing) Fixating and fixating Ras (selective focus) flip Value and fear Can't enjoy the moment and lack gratitude Could be food or dopamine addiction Focus is being dragged by RAS and bad emotions flip Low vibration energy spreads People might feel the need to be consistent to it instead of having clarity Abandonment trauma Activity push you away till you do wind up annoyed and abandon them To reignite that trauma How are you doing this? Rationalizing personal boundaries Low vibration energy builds up and you don't release it Failing to have personal boundaries Evaluation on being weak on boundaries You don't know what someone will be like until a few months in or they dont need anything from you or until you are no longer the shinny object or they're not getting love chemicals from you When you first meet someone you're doped up on those love emotions and lust and physical touch and validation for the new shinny object You know you're both doped up Anybody can be nice when they're doped up like this Before I make any deep plans with them when they don't need anything from me anymore They are the person who their emotional state setpoint (emotional default when not being titillated). Shinny object, Halo effect, Are they expansive and giving and sharing Are they someone who can think lateral and find solutions How does this person solve conflict Inherint victim psychology People are going to be run by their personal evolution Someone who's released a lot of their untargeted discontent and trauma Drug and Alcohol problems Short term thinker Gotta look past the surface level Not gonna know who the new person is because you're the new shinny object. Gotta wait till those things wear off Takeaways Wait a day before cutting someone off Write down all good things they bring to the table Wait until the dust has settled So you don't regret it later, sleep on it. Are you someone that can have gratitude For air, body, family, food, life that you have, spiritual connection to earth, rare experience of being alive, that gratitude is who you are Spiritual disease (dis-ease) that stops you from feeling that gratitude
