Elementary, Middle, High School passed my eyes like the fall of the first raindrops of a storm. All the years that passed and I just wanted to get out of school. Never thought that this song would make me want to relive every second of it... My friends, my family, they're the few fireflies that I kept close to my heart. Some drifted away out into the fields, but I'll never forget them.

This song is iconic, it forces you to reminisce about the good times in your childhood when life was much more simple. While it makes me think where all the years have gone this song is a blessing. It’s pure art that needs to be admired. Life goes on, your innocence disappears but the memories live on. For me, fireflies captures this unlike any other song and that’s what makes it so iconic.

Imagine being at your old school and walking by each classroom and remembering what it was like and what you did there. The classrooms get respectively brighter, more colorful, and clearer to remember because they were more recent. And suddenly, you look back and see yourself. All the different yous from all the different years. But they’re each getting brighter the younger you get. You lost that spark that once made everything so carefree and fun. You realize that you’re not the same but that’s okay. Its okay to not be that person because that’s who you were not who you are. Idk I guess I kinda just wanted to write something. I just imagine me, and all my friends stargazing at the moon, the next day we travel to our old school and the things that have changed. We remember things we did as kids, we were so energetic, carefree, and fun to play with. We used to run around the school playing tag, hide and seek, and sports. When everything was so.. Simple. When everything was so nice and making friends was so easy. Man I miss those days..

Ik..I moved and we would do a "5th grade clap out" at the end of the year for the kids going into middle school. I saw the vid of all my classmates and friends graduating without me and it hurt so bad because I grew up with them and I miss them..so much they were all yelling "ITS OVER ITS FINALLY OVER" That literally made me cry so hard

This song reminds me of when my world was carefree, now my world is filled with stress, anxiety, and nostalgia. It truly breaks my heart that I can't go back to those childhood memories. Something about this being slowed down is comforting but sad at the same time, it just hits harder iykyk. Something about being older makes my childhood seem like a dream. I wish I go out without a mask again, I wish that Summer was as warm as it used to be. Something about being mildly depressed makes the world feel colder.
