Two owls died on a woman's patio in Cave Creek, and some animal experts say the deaths could have been prevented. FOX 10's Lindsey Ragas reports.

WHAT A CHATTY LIL BIRD, BEAUTIFUL! I JUST DON’T LIKE THE THOUGHT OF IT BEING KEPT IN WHAT LOOKS LIKE A PET CARRIER. IT’S ALWAYS SAD TO SEE AN ANIMAL SUFFERING, SO I HOPE PEOPLE TAKE NOTE & QUIT WITH THE RAT POISON OR ANY PESTICIDES THAT CAN CAUSE HARM TO A LIVING THING.

Maybe they go in the carriers until they can be healed enough to go into a pen. I’m sure it’s just temporary.

Absolutely! There’s far better ways to deal with rodents and insects than harmful pesticides.

So the problem here is out of state people coming into Arizona mainly to retire which increases the demand for housing. As metro Phoenix has been land locked for decades developers keep expanding (with fed, state, county and city gov approval - not voters) into the surrounding Arizona desert - breaming with wildlife many people from the east, mid-west or God forbid Kalifornia are not used to. Yeah - that includes but not limited to rats, mice, snakes, coyotes, bobcats, skunks, bats, scorpions, BEARS and OWLS. They buy houses on the edge of the wild desert landscape for the view but can't live with it's natural inhabitants. Arizona is overbuilding for tax income while straining existing water resources of CURRENT residents and forever ruining our precious deserts. It's no wonder wildlife encounters are becoming more common. Just can't wait for the hundreds (thousands?) of acres of solar and wind power farms gov Hobbs is approving to further desert destruction. Progress for our own demise.

Solar power is actually a huge help to our ecosystem and the fight for climate change. Solar and wind power is also overall far more efficient and less destructive to the environment and local wildlife and ecosystems than fossil fuels. You’d know that I’d you were as smart as you think you are.

@@SlumCut6661 'Climate change' is a political scam! You in your arrogance are missing the point. Solar and wind power take up massive amounts of real estate as their 'inefficiency' requires many units to produce any amount of useable energy. You are obviously unaware of how many birds wind turbines kill. Seems their construction at sea is detrimental to sea life as well. Arizona home owners are welcome to put solar panels on the roofs of their own homes. Fed-gov and democrat governor Hobbs are not 'welcome' to lock up Arizona public land for a false narrative. Nuclear energy is by far the most efficient power source we have with an amazingly low footprint.

@@RoseNZieg it's called Darwins' Law. And I am educated, so no it was NEVER my child or any of my grandchildren. SMH! There is a book called the lost ways of Nature. There is a plant called Lamb's ear and if you are bleeding bad , you put this plant on your cut and it stops the bleeding. Education is the KEY!

⁠@@Hlorrh40you sound like you need to go back to the first grade. 😂 and I think you meant “Darwin’s Laws” instead of “Darwin’s law” which was unspecific as to which law you’re referring to because as we all know, there is more than one “Darwin’s law” 😂 Also if you were as smart as you think you are, you’d know that the definition of Darwin’s law of natural selection is that the fittest individuals are more likely to survive and reproduce, passing on their genetic traits to future generations. You basically just said your kid is as dumb as a rock and those genes were passed down from you. 😂😂😂

Would u rather have it been ur kids or your pet that ate poison and seen that on the news would that been newsworthy enough for you I enjoy and appreciate what they do for us and i wouldnt always want to see the deaths, car accident,s and destruction of the world to put myself in a fear paranoid state

@@polo_thegod No I would rather educate my children to know the difference and not rely on others to control what they see, hear, taste, or learn. SMH! This isn't the stone age, we don't live in straw huts. We live in a world where you should of already educated yourself in. Don't you live here on this planet. Or do you think brown cows can only give chocolate milk. Education! WOW! I educate my 8 year old grand son on the difference between poison ivy and regular ivy or do you just let them find out the hard way? mmmmm. Makes me wonder
