Vintage style & classic Halloween coloring give this fun DIY Halloween craft a cozy nostalgic Halloween feel. In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a paper mache looking Halloween lantern without the need for all the layers of paper! Though there are a few layers of crafting to get this look, this process saves time but will still give you a nice paper texture finish and look! These rustic Halloween decorations are the perfect addition to shelves, staircase edges, hooks, tables, & more! Use the basic steps of this project to create your own unique lantern using different paint colors or even make a pumpkin, witch, or other spooky subject!

This project came out so well and looks like it was made back in the 40's! I was wondering if you would be making anymore lanterns like black cats or jack o lanterns to go with your owl. You are a GENIUS! The idea of having to use papier mache immediately turns me off of so many projects because of its tedious (and messy) nature. Using a cheap glass globe makes so much sense, yet I'd never think of it! It turned out better than I ever could have imagined! Like, holy crap... This is one of the best Halloween DIYs on the internet!
