Blast from the past! I was at that show somewhere up front. I remember Har Mar's hijinx, Sam's outfit and talking to Tim afterwards telling him how much I liked Cap 'n Jazz and so on and him telling me I must be some kind of pervert. Still not exactly sure what he meant by that. Still have the lp I bought that night too. Thanks for posting!

I saw this tour, I'm pretty sure they (are) were opening for Pedro the Lion. I saw Owls two more times in the spring and fall of 2002. At that point they were playing a bunch of new songs. Tim would always ask the crowd if people had any questions. I asked if they were putting out a new record anytime. He replied: "Slowwwwwwwwly." It would be so awesome to hear some of those unreleased songs they were playing live! I saw them at a tiny venue in Pittsburgh during a snowstorm in the spring of 2002. There were maybe 20 people there. One of the best shows I've ever been to!

Jason Mills maybe we will get lucky and a tape will appear. If you ever find any old material that needs digitized let me know. Would be amazing.

Wow, you're very lucky to have attended these shows and seen them play back in the day. I would love to hear these unreleased tracks - rough live cuts or demos or anything. Tim said in a recent interview that they were about to go in the studio again right before they broke up and he was asking a guy from Big Star to produce it. Unfortunately, I didn't get to catch them on the reunion tour either 😩

Jason Mills well you won’t believe it but my buddy who also commented to you here has worked through a taper to acquire a live show with an unreleased Owls song in it. I’m trying to see if any of the members of the band are interested in doing something special with it first before just uploading it but now you at least know we have one unreleased song in extremely high quality recorded straight from the sound board.

Thank you for posting, was looking for videos of Victor Playing with Owls; sounds jangly like a telecaster or some type of Fender on Album, but mostly see him playing studio Les Pauls

I was excited to find it and able to share! This was uploaded partially in the past and it’s nice to have it complete. Someone in these comments said there were some shows they played new material before they broke up for a while. Maybe they played songs that eventually ended up on Two. I wonder if any tapes of those shows exist. Early versions of songs from Two would be so cool.

That sounds incredibly fun. I always try to keep an eye out for old tapes but if you see any let me know and I can digitize it for you. I don’t usually keep the tapes after I’m done with them.
