Here's a revised version of your message: I played this in v1.2.9, and I've tested it in v1.2.10-it still works. However, you have to do it in the town called Marunath and follow the exact steps shown in the video, or it won't work.

I have just testet in v1.2.10 beta and It still works.

It works using a caravan near the gate of a city. You can trade with the city and with the caravan without moving or passing time. In that position you can do tricks like this one or using ore and iron.
