This is very good and nice to see The myth of Africans not liking black Americans, black Caribbean or any black outside of Africa is just a myth Africans on the continent of Africa are too busy living their life to be hating on others outside of the continent They've other issues to be concerned about then to be hating Not saying we are all loving but from my experience their is more love on the continent of Africa compare to Europe I was very surprised when I 1st returned to the UK Could not believe nor understood the division Felt I was coned because I'd positive impressions of Europe when I was in Nigerian Due to the indoctrination of the media and charity organizations

U nailed it... people "catching hell" and they're supposed to be thinking about that... Sure when we get here the system gives us this image .. directing us as to who to hate and be suspicious of... our people here too have been sold this image of how they were saved from being on the continent albeit in chains.. so go figure who gains...

You never lied. My two kids and I just came back to the states from spending the 10 weeks in Ghana. GURL, it's super expensive to go back home with kids. The trip cost me between 11-12K, we didn't do anything super extravagant while in Ghana. The ticket alone was 6K 😢. Plus, paying everything by yourself doesn't help. I had to make the sacrifice and take them because myy kids are 17yrs and 15yrs and they never been to Ghana. I definitely feel your pain having to pay for everything being a single mom as well. Taking the kids back home is possible, you just have to really plan. It took me three years to plan for our trip. It will take time but it's possible. You have to plan way ahead of time for it. Good luck.

@@obaaAkos02 That's a lot of money, which hotel did you stay in? Maybe there's alternative cheaper place to stay?

@@Uncle-Basil We didn't stay in a hotel. I have my own home in Ghana. Trust me, I am very frugal and tried to cut cost very the best way I could but Ghana is super expensive (especially Accra). There were some things I needed to ship home to the get my house fully functioning for us. We were in Ghana for 10 weeks, that more time than an average person stays in GH. That amount includes the air fee for three of us which was almost 6K. Summer is really expensive to go to Ghana from the states, the visas alone were $500+). Definitely have to get Ghana passports for our next trip. Getting everything we need for the trip cost money. Getting families some things as well as blessing family with little money. This was my kids first time, so I wanted to have fun, and show them all that Ghana has to offer. We did visit a lot of historical places. Also also visited some resorts but we did day passes which was more cost effective than staying overnight. I don't know how Ghana got so expensive, some of these resorts are charging $250 -$300 USD and way more a night. SMDH. We did few day passes for $70 - $120 a day for three people. My kids eat local dishes so that helped a lot. Imported foods are super expensive. I paid $7.50 for cream cheese at ShopRite in Ghana that cost $2.99 in the states. One thing I have to say is I spend a lot of money on transportation. I definitely need to invest in a car there before our next trip. Taking your entire family to Ghana is no joke. I left Ghana to the states at age 11. With that said, there are things I can leave without in Ghana but no so much of my kids. For instance, I could have went the entire time without internet but not so much for my kids. I believe I spent $200+ just for internet. Going to Ghana with an entire family is a huge undertaking.

Inspiring and humbling at the same time! Ada is my hometown, I grew up there. I had all of my education there, apart from Sixth Form in Cape Coast and university at Legon. Matter of fact, before I relocated to the States, I moved back to Ada to live there. Life there was life! My life growing up in Ada is summarized in #ShashaMarley’s Twin City Mafia song. One Love!

It's great what the brother is doing. I don't know about building so close to the river front. Africans consider waterfront to be junk land for the obvious reasons and we better believe it. When the ocean gets angry and the river start to rage, nothing can hold them back.
