I've been trying to pick out 4 (2 hotter, 2 colder) and what I've come up with is: Hot: Perry Ellis 360 Red ~$18 Bvlgari Aqva Amara ~$31 Cold: Michael Jordan Legend ~$16 Ferragamo Salvatore F Black ~$25 If I would switch out any of them it would be 360 red just to get something with a bit more longevity.

I would get: Paco Rabanne Pour Homme: Clean daytime frag, also quite versatile ranging from warm (not hottest) days of summer and also some warmer winter days and anything in between, i have seen it here in Mexico for the equivalent of around 27 pounds Guy Laroche Drakkar Noir: Nice more kind of nightime frag, still quite fresh but heavier due to the woods and leather (an amazing leather by the way) i have seen it for the equivalent of around 23 quid also here in Mexico Another great night frag (cedar, leather, pachouli, etc) is Carlo Corinto Classic, which i have seen selling here for around 15 quid Antonio Puig Quorum: Very close to Polo Green with a very heavy tobacco note and pine, i've seen it selling for around 10 quid, great date frag, also has leather and stuff, might also be quite versatile along the other frags since vintage ones are pretty versatile, if you use this heavier ones in the office just spray less (The less versatile of the bunch is Carlo Corinto since it's ultraheavy with those notes and has a touch of sweetness, very 80's frag, then Quorum) I guess that with those 4 frags and maybe another elegant one such as Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui ( Also less than 15 quid) or stuff, you already got everything covered, you could perfectly get those 5 frags here in Mexico for less than the equivalent of a hundred quid

I've gotten myself down to 5 fragrances: Hugo Boss Number One: my go to office/church scent. I love the clean honey tobacco vibe about it. Its inoffensive and puts me in a good mood while sitting at my desk. Drakkar Noir: Signature/going out scent. It gets a bad rep from people dumping it on themselves but I do 3 sprays MAX and it does beautifully on my skin and gets me lots of compliments when I'm out with my pals. Dior Fahrenheit: Oddly my date night scent but it just works for me and the ladies seem to love it on me. I also do 'Fahrenheit Fridays' where I wear it for casual fridays at work and a girl I passed chased me down to tell me how great I smelled. Bvlgari Pour Homme: I use this for those really hot summer days and the saltiness fits perfectly for it. I'm also trying out A*men Pure Tonka for the colder weather. Kind of reminds me of snickerdoodles for some reason but haven't decided yet if it will be my winter rotation yet. I used it for a special family dinner last night and it got a lot of compliments so we shall see how I like it.

Ah, so much good sense here. At some point you have to start buying and wearing bottles, no matter how much you test. Currently I could find something for all settings and situations out of Guerlain l'Instant EDT, Yohji Homme, Bottega Veneta PH, and Adolfo Dominguez's Agua Fresca. Having said that, I wouldn't like to be without D&G The One EDT, as well as Bvlgari's Pour Homme Extreme.

MY 4 choices would be D&G THE ONE, Azzarro Wanted By Night, Davidoff's Cool Water & English Leather by Dana. Man I wish I could have included Burberry Brit Rythym Intense, but because it's the weaker in longevity of the other fragrances I left it out.

Haha, great video and fun 'assignment'! If I had to trim down my current collection to only 4 fragrances, I would go for: Green Irish Tweed, Aventus, La Nuit De L'Homme and Versace Pour Homme. This covers me from summer to winter, for day and night and for various moods (e.g. the fresh, summery citrus of Versace PH versus the dark, aromatic spicy smell of La Nuit). Besides, Green Irish Tweed and Aventus can be worn in at least 3 of the 4 seasons and are known to be crowdpleasers and compliment getters! Price-wise, my selection definitely way above yours, but rotating these 4 fragrances would cover you for years.

My 4 would be Aqva Amara, D&G The One EDP, Burberry London & Dior Homme Eau. I can't see any occasion or season that those 4 couldn't cover, prices are great and the performance is good on all except the Burberry!

So anyway, I'm starting my collection and I wanted to share my reasoning with you and maybe have a little conversation, if you are too big for this I completely understand. Context: 31yo marketing coordinator, living in scorching hot northern México (think arizona) not much into either clubbing or outdoors activities. Signature Fragrance: I was thinking, versatility (Office/Casual/seasons ), Uniqueness and value all-rounder. Went with MontBlanc Individuel. Love'd it, but Turned out too loud for my type of summer Office 2nd try: Went with Lacoste Essential, clean, inoffensive, but boring, thinking about maybe switching to azzaro chrome (maybe a flanker?) Personal Indulgence and summer outdoors: L'eau Dissey pour homme. Lovely stuff. weak performance. Girlfriend request: She's asking me to buy Invictus Intense, but I can't quite stand it, any suggestions here? I am 100% sure Jeremy gets paid for promoting niche fragrances. My evidence: 1. Jeremy removed his oldest Parfums de Marly video with the so-so reactions from the ladies. 2. He removed the Xerjoff video where he basically laughs about how their scents are overpriced and smell average. 3. He removed the Olfactive Studio video where he said all their scents smell average and not worth buying. Nobody else noticed that? The guy is being paid to manipulate us into buying Parfums de Marly and I believe he got paid for removing the honest, harsh Xerjoff and Olfactive Studio videos he made. Maybe he was threatened, but still, I wouldn't trust his opinion anymore. He used to be good and now he had partially sold out.

I use just four; Kouros, Cacharel Pour Homme, Creed Aventus and Tom Ford Noir de Noir. Whenever possible, I also use a matching bath soap and/or shower gel and deodorant and layer the damn thing to try to be able to smell myself, I don't really care much about whether or not the others can smell me. I wouldn't mind owning the Amouages, Rojas, Bond No. 9s and Le Labos of this world, but those fragrances are pricey and I prefer spending €10k p.a. on travels or a watch. I do love the scent of, say, Neroli Portofino or Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta but I found that that stuff, even with layering and a dozen spritzes, is gone in an hour, kinda defies the purpose and super powerful fragrances like Sauvage or 1 Million just aren't my cup of tea. I find Kouros, despite it's reported to be a new, weaker formulation, to have a beastly longevity and sillage and after all those years, it doesn't fail to get compliments and people asking just what the damn thing is.

I don't really want to draw you into some discussion about it, but I do think it is a legitimate thing to be concerned about when a person doesn't disclose being sponsored or paid to do a review. Anyway my four frags would be: 1. L'Homme Yves Saint Laurent - workplace, daytime, decent performance, and most versatile. 2. CdN Intense Man - Aventus clone, but I like it mixed with some pineapple fragrance oil. This would be my most used and go to probably. (I haven't tried L'Aventure yet.) 3. Midnight in Paris VC&A - beautiful bottle even though I don't normally care about that, but smells great and would be perfect for relaxed cool evenings out. 4. Rasasi La Yuqawam - this puts me over the cash limit, but this would be my cold winter season more daring scent.

An idea(you might have already done) just a little tweak to this one... How about 3 to four fragrances one can use as a color pallette(fragrance pallette) like in painting all good on there own but you can layer them to get different effects to suit the mood or event. Start off with a 1)day/office scent 2)casual 3)date-night and 4)wildcard frag Example i love Lalique pour homme for work its super masculine and classic but comes off to some as all business and very fresh...i had a date night with the wife shopping dinner and movie so i layered Debutante for men(deep creamy incensey vibe) on my chest and back of my neck....layered together became like a spicey creamy balsamic vinegar glaze drizzled over lemon meringue pie gourmand fragrance...the female sales associate at our mall stalked my every move for about half an hour until she built up enough courage to stop me and smell my neck and tell me i smell delicious and ask what was i wearing...the point of this idea: 3 or 4 fragrances is only limited by imagination if you pick the right ones and layer them you can possibly come out with at least 12 magnificent scents with great depth. Like in my example i took a fresh citrus blended with an oriental and came out with a Classy but sexy spiced Gourmand.

Just 4......hmm. 1. Aventus 2. Dior Homme 3. Acqua Di Parma Colonia/Eau De Hadrien - tough pick for me. 4. Rive Gauche/or La Yuqawam (Tuscan Leather) Off the top of my head. Terre De Hermes and GIT wants to be there, so does DHI, and Guerlain Homme,........Honestly, I'd have to take La Yuqawam (T. Ford) and make it an even 5......just can't leave any of those 5. So, La Yuqawam for the 5 and the rest I can live without.....in sadness.

The ones that came straight away to my mind were Boss Bottled Intense, Club De Nuit Intense Man, Rasasi's Entebaa, and Ultra zest By Theiry Mugler. But, I could easily swap in Armaf's Tres Nuit, Midnight in Paris, Mont Blanc Individuel, Bvgari Aqva Amara, Perry Ellis 360 Red and Armaf's Futura La Homme.... I would have liked to add F Black by Ferragamo but it's too much for the summer
