Well said. Especially the employee part. It's tough. Had 8 full time guys running multiple sites . Now have me and 1 full time employee, 2 excavators , track loader, single axle dump truck and my personal srw 350 pickup. I gross way less, but work less and take home the same or more. Without the constant stress . Hire out trucking / hauling for mob. Love you gear and great work!

We would deliver mat We ial to customers, and we'd always ask, if they needed us to dozer off or skid steer off the product, and if they did, we'd get more in our x Mas bonus, win-win, we had one kid delivering for us, who would hand out his brothers business cards, he had a dozer. He handed it out to a regular customer, who called the office, he got fired. What a Putz. We had plenty of work, and you could work all the hours you wanted, basically writing your own paycheck. So I agree with you, definitely a conflict of interest

I had a friend that would brag about taking work away from where he worked. This guy sucked at pavers and would get kick out of jobs all the time. But he bragged like he was the cat’s meow. I knew I would never hire him.
