I'm a bit confused: do both the 210 and 310 require use of the hub, so we need to buy the camera plus the hub in order to use the camera? I was hoping to just buy one camera or the other and use it by itself. Is that not an option?

No hub is required for either cameras. I actually returned the hub. You will need the hub if you want to save the video other than on the camera.

How long does it save your videos? Can another person scan your code and access the cam??
