being an introvert and being uncomfortable talking to people. I felt that. in my line of work being a nurse I must always force myself to be the opposite. In the future I would also want to own a secondhand bookshop/ cafe. binging on all your videos. new subscriber here! keep safe! 😘😷

I can definitely relate to you both. I am currently working a medical receptionist (not by choice, only doing it to make money. Already on the verge of quitting once a job reaches out that aligns more with my interests. I honestly do not like this field. It isn't for me. Most people are constantly on the go to the point where they let it ruin their whole mood. I never knew at work you are supposed to bring your personal problems in there. But apparently the medical field is the worst at it. Lol I am chill ambivert and being in people's personal business is not something I thrive on. I like being chill and just talking about books, media, and good vibes lol. So yeah, it only makes sense for me to at least my own book and media store. I wish you both success with your journeys! Great video btw!

I see so much of you in myself. I just had this idea of owning a bookstore come to me, and it's the first idea that felt almost natural in a very long, wary time. Looking into myself and why I have felt so terrible for years, and finding that it's because I have no self-fulfillment entering my life. Your mindset and ideas are incredible. I know you will go far!

you have seriously inspired me and opened my eyes. i've been thinking about running my own bookshop for years but could never figure out how to do it in a way that was sustainable and still felt friendly and personable/familiar. my biggest mental struggle was being able to get books out. trying to decide between dropshipping books or having a limited stock or just selling book accessories (bookmarks, book covers, stickers, baggies, etc) but you made it all so mentally simple for me. thank you for lighting the fire under my ass again. this was a great video. i hope you continue to grow and prosper.

It’s really nice hearing about your experience, I finally opened my bookstore this year (I’m 18) and it has been really overwhelming 😖

How’s it going ?!

It has been a challenge honestly. There are times where I get a lot of sales. Other times, I get none and I always want to quit then, but I just keep going because I know it’s going to pay off one day 🤍

Okay I'm going through all of your videos right now and I love them so much! It's so cool to hear about this adventure and I wish you all the success in the world. I'm hoping that at some distant point in the future, when traveling is possible again and when you might have a physical space, I can visit your store if I'm in the area and shop a book or two 💕

Loved learning more about you and your store! If you’re willing and able, it’d be so cool to see you vlog the set up of your storefront when you get it. Also, would you be able to post your website and Instagram in the description too so it’s easier to find?

Ithaca has the most DARLING bookstore, called Odyssey! You should definitely check it out, I'm jealous you'll be living so close to it, haha

hi, i'm looking forward to be a bookstore owner as well. i just have a question, i'm wondering where do you get the supplies for books? is it from a middleman? or direct from publishers? Thanks!

I'm an INFP, and it's a dream of mine as well. I have other hobbies and associated dreams though, like gardening, making signs on thick wood, pet sitting, and I would like my own hobby farm.
