Using a combination of a petrol engine and a large, battery-powered electric motor, the new Kuga PHEV offers a seamless blend of petrol and electric power. Together, the engine and electric motor produce a combined power output of 225 PS. And when using electric power alone, you can drive with zero emissions for up to 35 miles.
Four Electric Vehicle modes give you the power of choice, enabling you to choose whether drive on electric, petrol power, or a combination of the two.

To help maximise the electric range, advanced regenerative braking technology recharges the hybrid battery as you drive. The system works by capturing the energy that’s usually lost when you apply the brakes, and then sending the power back to the battery.
You can also plug your Kuga PHEV into a domestic socket to recharge the battery overnight. Or, for even faster home charging, you can install a Ford Wallbox electric charging point. These professionally installed home charging points can charge an empty battery to full in around 3.5 hours.
When you buy a Kuga PHEV, you’ll also be provided with a NewMotion charge card. This card gives you simple and convenient access to Europe’s fastest growing network of public charging points. So wherever you are, you’ll always be able to recharge your hybrid battery with ease.
To find public charging points, or any other destinations, you can use the FordPass app on your phone. And if you pair the app with the FordPass Connect modem in your Kuga PHEV, you can send directions to charging points directly to your in-car navigation.
FordPass Connect also enables you to check your Kuga PHEV’s petrol and battery levels, charging status and more, all from the FordPass app on your phone.
