Very true, we have two big dogs who are best pals with our cats, and the cats are the bosses most times. They simply need to be introduced with care and love. ❤

To be fair, you should be *careful* with certain breeds, like Huskies, who have a strong hunting instinct. But of course it all depends on the dog's/cat's temper and raising. Most cats and dogs will be fine. I know dogs who love their cats to bits, but hunt every other cat mercilessly. TBH they make for easy targets😂

@@pillowprincess3673 a dog is only as bad as his/hers mom or dad. dogs, no matter the breed or natural instincts, can be best friends with any animal if you raise them right

One of my 3 dogs is used to hunt, we got her in the street (and the others too, but they were still puppies), probably she did it for living (but it has passed 9 years since then), but she hunts for dominance too, like small lizards, mices and all type of insects. I never saw she going after cats, but she already killed a chicken when we weren't looking, and also a bird in mid air, but she is really gentle with people and other dogs, she has about 10 years but remains pretty active, recently I rescued a kitten, but due to her intent to kill we never had the chance to put them together, also, the cat is really scared of her but fine with the other dogs, I don't know, she receives much love and attention so I don't think she is jealous, but she acts like an alpha in the house (towards the dogs, not with people), so I think it's due to territory issues, what should i do? I really want them to get along but I'm too poor to seek professional help.

@@gabrieldeabreu624 hmm, I'm not sure what to tell you, dear. If I were you, I wouldn't risk the kitten's life. If your dog had to hunt for a living, she probably can't fight her instincts entirely. And cats often behave like prey, even though they're predators themselves. Why don't you post your issue in a dog forum and see what answers you get? definitely both:) I love both equally. And love videos that show them interacting peacefully with each other or sleeping near or next to each other. Milo, Phil, and Niko definitely have a special bond with each other that is heartwarming.

Definitely. My dog and cat are a huge part of my life. Naturally we were careful when first we brought them together (the dog was three, the kitten 10 weeks old), but after a week or so they were playing together, and they haven't stopped. I have so many videos and pictures of them. So many in fact that I may have a bit of a problem with hoarding them....
