Jami,I am a senior citizen and I spoke at a friends funeral last Friday talking about the compassion my friend had for everyone. She was a sweet lady who lived to be 90 years old. She was a great friend and was kind to everyone. She never criticized anyone or was mean until she got sick with dementia. I would hope that people could learn to be kind and compassionate. That's what I want my legacy to be and I hope people can be better to you. I love your channel and appreciate your time and videos.

Voodoo is a very smart horse. Jami, you are a very smart lady. There is so much trust between you and all the animals that any mistakes will be learning experiences for all involved. I would much prefer to be brushing a dusty donkey than shopping, partying or whatever. It's so wonderful to be able to enjoy these calm horse and (🤫donkey🤫) "pony" moments with you. I know for me, the last few years have been extremely difficult, I never expected to have heart failure at the age of 35. for a long time besides the wonderful man in my life, you and your fantastic, hilarious, goofy husband, are what got me through my days. spending months in the hospital wondering if I will ever go home or if I will still live a long life. I fought so hard to survive. and a lot of that fight came from you! I know that sounds crazy to think that someone I have never met has such an impact on my life. but somehow it is true. I think of you and everything you have been through some of those things the same as I have been through. But you are such an inspiration, I don’t know anyone else on KZfaq that works as hard as you. I don’t know where you find the time to do all that you do, but you are truly a gift from God to everyone around you. I just want you to remember this the next time you read some thing that stings a little. I want MY HUG, to cover up that little bit of hurt and doubt that someone left behind. I am a horse person and all I thought was that VooDoo was loving being free to run. I hoped that the saddle was cinched tight so that it didn’t slide around or off but he was having fun. I wish you would use a nice soft brush instead of using the metal shedding brush. I am proud of you for wanting to learn as much as you can. You have come a long way !!

Voo was letting everything out that day,my girls learnt to ride on a 30 year old ex riding school pony ,he was just about bomb proof until the day he decided he was too far away from his friends & Carted my daughter at full gallop back to the stables nothing we could do except shout her to hold on.She did. unfortunately he slipped coming into the stable on the concrete & went down on his side on her leg .luckily just scrapes on both.Animals are unpredictable .You do great Jami ❤

I honestly felt that Voodoo was happy enough. It is quite common for a horse to take off prancing and galloping when they are turned out in an open space. Yes, you should have removed the saddle before letting him run, but he wasn't hurting or anything. It was just an irritation as he was in playtime mode. It wasn't properly cinched, so he just felt it slipping and bucked more violently. Not a huge deal and the biggest risk was probably having to present Lester with a soiled and battered gift. Lester seems to be worried that Voo hates the saddle or something, but I'm sure that Kourtney can quickly reassure him about that. Voodoo is ridden so rarely that lunging him first is a good idea.

From the day I found your channel (4-ish years ago now) my admiration and love has grown for you. I don't just admire your hard work (I think you actually have three full-time jobs!) but its the uplifting way you approach it all! You ARE all the things you mentioned wanting/hoping to be. I have been teaching, riding and coaching for 45 years. I manage huge barns and forgotten more than I knew. A horse can still humble me in a second. Always more to learn.
