Materials:
1 piece of 20 gauge dead soft round wire, 13 inches long
26 gauge round dead soft wire
1 cabochon, mine is a teardrop Hematite about 30mm tall
Wire scraps to make the chain or use a premade chain
My pieces of wire I used for the chain were about 32mm and for clasp about 4 inches (100mm)

if you make it our of one piece of wire you can, but the way I made it where it is two wires thick makes it kind of impossible to hammer it.

Thank you! Oval wouldn't work because it wouldn't have that point up top which is needed to secure the stone in. A triangle shape would work

It'd be pretty difficult to do with other shapes I think. The only one I can think of that would work is triangle

You can follow this tutorial and make it out of any metal of your choice. I like to do my tutorials in copper so people trying it for the first time don't waste an expensive metal like sterling silver if it doesn't work out.
