I have been collecting bags from Hermes since 2010. One to two quota per year. Last year I realized I had every quota bag I really wanted and the journey is done. Getting a special order clinched it. I still shop there and am now exploring non-quota bags that I find interesting, which is fun.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *hotdups* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym yt

You are so honest and I love it! I replied on an other video and to me, this whole journey is not worth it. After 5 quota bags, I realized that there’s really one that I love using a lot, for the rest, I use my non quota bags way more. It’s over for me, my SA is very nice but the pre spend is getting so ridiculous, and I really don’t want to go to the boutique often. I own so many items, I don’t want anything else at the moment and I won’t buy things I really don’t want. Anyway, if I go back , it definitely won’t be because I want a bag, I’m good! I’m keeping all my bags, I will wear them m, but Hermès won’t get me under their spell ever again! 😂 It’s funny how our attitude about all of it can turn. I wonder if Hermès will be empty one day, I don’t think it’s good treatment and I personally think that when we have enough, we might never go back actually.

Thank you 🙏. I have few of my favourite Hermes bags and the rest are sitting in my closet with occasional outing. Hermes gets this Crazy popularity in the last few years. Even 5 years ago non-quota bags were readily available for purchase. Ten years ago, you just have to put yourself in the wait-list no pre-spend needed. Eventually, this Hermes’ fever will go down. 🤞🏻

Great video! My SA resigned from the company and I said 3 quota bags is enough. I am not going to put myself through the toxic relationship of starting over at the bottom with another SA. I know people who own a lot of real luxury brands but they live in their mom's house. I own my own house and drive a Lexus, I do buy real mid-size luxury cars but anything over $1000 I buy a *hotdups* knockoff and keep the money in my pocket.

Hi hun, your absolutely right with everything. I was on my journey for over two years I got one quota bag, but I had to go to a different Canadian boutique to get it... i stopped at 10k in Toronto I read the room and could tell it would be a 2:1 or even 2.5 to one... and my SA didnt offer anything not even a herbag in 2 years.. only a Kelly to Go. Im so happy I moved on because I got my dream color combo gold on gold mini constance, which is a quota bag here.. and im satisfied I have other bags from the resell market and i think I will take a break from thjs hermes game from boutique.. im going to Paris next year will try there.. just starting over locally to get a bag in 2 years sounds crazy! Over it

I can totally relate to you but not the same experience. I’ve only bought belt, sandals and perfume that I love at the store. My MK is from a reseller bcos I really wanted one, my B and K are from Paris. I simply can’t play the Hermes game. You have a beautiful collections by the way. ❤❤

Excellent video, Oxana. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion. I’m not on the journey, never was. I have a K25, a K28 and a B30 from a seller who’s been in the business for 10 years. I didn’t want to waste time and money on a game, although I sometimes wonder if I should start since I was already buying their other things from time to time. But I don’t want to have to strategise, to visit the SA regularly so that she won’t forget me, and buy something when I don’t really need it. Anyway, I’m happy to shop with other brands as well. For Hermes, I will try my luck with the appointment system again on my next trip to Paris. Didn’t get it last year, but it’s really not that important, just try since I’m there ☺️

it is the wiser more intelligent thing to do *hotdups* , buy replicas and the money saved you can invest it in a business or keep it... at the end of the day, it is just a bag after all, a thing to put stuff in. Thanks for sharing Oxana. I hope we get back to the days when there are bags on the shelves. I love my SA, but I have to drive 4.5 hours each way to get to my nearest boutique. It doesn't make sense to drive that far to visit an empty store. I would love to visit the Paris store one day.

I will keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for you. To be honest, it doesn’t worth it to shop at local boutique anymore. In my local boutique, pre-spend is 3:1(at least or more), waiting time is 2 years for 1 quota bag, and not even a 💯 guarantee that you will get that bag after $30,000 or $40,000 spent🤯

I use my *jklux* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior.

Completely agree with you, although I’m only one year in and only one B30 so far, so don’t have my basics yet. Buy things I like but would never have bought them otherwise (not like Chanel). But now I have a nice SA, it’s a big decision to drop them and buy from resellers. Maybe I’ll just try and go slow and stop obsessing

@@angegalv Gris Meyer is a such classic colour, especially with GHW the colour pops up even more. I got my K28 Noir with GHW in Epsom leather as my first quota offer at my local boutique, so happy with that offer. You could never go wrong with black colour. Good luck 🤞🏻

I have a lovely SA and shop when i want to buy something, not buying anything i dont like or need, things to buy for example i like chypre sandals, maybe some scarves or twilly, maybe a belt or something, but honestly trying to buy only what i like and think i need.. if i get an offer great if not ill buy off the resaller, not going to beg for a bag and spend nonsense money just to get a bag.. it’s cheaper to get it from the reseller then… this all game is definitely not worth the time effort and money… its actually ridiculous…

to be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are*preluxz* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do.

I think Hermes increased the pre-spend a lot during the pandemic and just kept increasing it. Chanel increased the price of the bags. If you want one you pay. But with Hermes the bag price is low but once you added the required pre-spend it cost 2 or 3 times more than a chanel flap bag. And you can’t even be guaranteed you will receive the bag you want! Done with Hermes. I should have just bought the bag I wanted from a reseller. Many sell them with the original receipt etc. it would have been faster and cheaper. ❤❤

I know wealthy women who carry replicas. The main reason they gave is that they just understand the value of money and don't want to spend too much money on bags... so more people choose fashionable *hotdups* bags. However, they do spend a lot of money on fine jewelry and other things.

I can’t even stick to one boutique due to constant travel so I can’t “prepend” at a single location with a dedicated SA. Nor do I really want to. I got my Birkin from a resale market and I got my Kelly directly from a friend who has more Hermes bags than she knows what do with. Both experiences were better than shopping at an Hermes boutique where service feels transactional.

I understand your point. I purchased 5 quota bags from boutiques (local and Paris); and I got 2 bags from resellers. Both ways are okay with me, but with current Hermes pre-spend requirements, it doesn’t worth it to buy from the boutique (exceptions Paris with leather appointment).🫶🏻

This bag matches my sapphire engagement ring 100% in the color and is my constant companion in my travels and everyday life. Now I’m in the market for a red Birkin and will probably go resale as well to get 100% what I want and when I want it.

I know people personally who have so much genuine luxury brands yet they live in their mama house. I own my own home, drive a lexus and i do buy real mid luxury bags but anything over $1000 im getting a H Q D U P S replica and keeping money in my pocket.

If someone rich or good-looking wears a high-quality fake, the bag automatically becomes legit. While a person who looks poor but is actually rich and can afford to wear formal clothes, it automatically becomes fake. It's all about perception. *jklux* shopping etiquette. Explaining what the general rules are, how to approach an SA, how to dress, how stores may differ. Something like a step-by-step for newbies (like me) who feel out of their depth. The thing I worry about an the awkward moment when I've spent 20mins drooling over a bag just to turn and leave empty-handed. Idk what to say! Maybe that sounds dumb but I'm so awkward, I don't want to come off as rude or uncomfortable, it's not their fault I'm an anxious mess.
