this is an album that wasn't wildly acknowledged nor liked by a lot of the madness following, but, when you actually look at it and appreciate what is being created here, you quickly learn that this is a magnificent album!! Old London and its secrets spread bare. Brilliant theatricals :)

One of their best???? It IS their best album! I love all things Madness but TLONF is their Magnum Opus, their Sgt. Pepper and they yet have to make their Abbey Road so the future of Madness looks pretty exciting!

No doubt about it! Never been too into Madness. Some great singles but 1st album excepted, poor, album wise. I definitely didn't see this coming. Never mind Sergeant Pooper, this is their "Forever changes". Seeing as you're obviously into Madness in a big way, can you tell me if this Hackney Empire performance was ever released on DVD? Wouldn't make any sense if it wasn't.

MisAnnThorpe Yes it was released as part of a 2 disc deluxe cd/DVD " The Liberty of Norton Folgate "silver edition. Hope this is of some help to you. 😎
