On a Sunday in mid-May, we took a day trip to Oxford 🚝.
The only things we prepared in advance were train tickets for the round trip and tour reservations for the Bodleian Library and Christ Church. The rest of the schedule was quite relaxed, with plans to visit places if we could manage to fit them in.
As it turned out, it's absolutely essential to book tours in advance! On the day of our visit, many people couldn't buy tickets because they were sold out by the morning. It's definitely more convenient and cost-effective to buy them online ahead of time!
There was also a marathon happening that day, so the town was very crowded. However, as soon as we turned onto a side street, it became quiet and we were able to appreciate the old, charming cityscape. Experiencing another part of the UK outside of London for the first time was a wonderful memory. Thank you, Oxford 🇬🇧.
It was as hot as summer during this trip, but as I'm editing this in late May, the temperatures have dropped below 20°C and it feels like early spring again. While it was hot, the weather during the trip was bright and beautiful, which I appreciate even more as I edit the video.
