Incredibly focused, concentrated, knowledgeable, no-nonsense, inspiring man. I'd never be able to meet him personally but this comes close to it. Suddenly I felt I realized why he is so successful. People buy his products because they are good, refined, on top of our times and traditional in the sense that they connect to a past perceived as glorious and timeless -- which actually might - just might - mean eternal. They walk you the extra mile on the last few centimeters. Absolutely admirable. 😄

@@esltogo6898 A myth is nothing bad. If you listen to the interview BA does not call it "luxury" what his companies produce and thinks branding has to be supported (or lead by) substance. Branding is part of all communication (even between animals) but these expensive high-end products are part of a common human search for meaning and perfection. Of course you may be made fun of when you spend a lot of money and get baked air in exchange for it. But chances are you get something special, refined, produced with pride and a lot of effort. And, not to forget, no one will ever force you to buy that stuff. :-)

Love how Bernard Arnault answered the question about how they adapt their products for the different communities around the world amid the constant globalization. "We try to show what we do in our atelier in France, we don't think we should modify our products" Thats the spirit, quality comes from timelessness and consistency. We have our own culture and we build from that. No need to change for the sake of in increasing globalization.

His comment on adaptation was valuable in that he defined and confirmed an underlying but prominent value of basically putting fashion(design) above all else. This equates to brand integrity when presently we have infiltration and influence of so many aspects, some of significance. Brands that branch off and attempt in those areas without long term reason and sincerity come across as “pandering” for lack of better terms. Fashion is at its best and maintains the power dynamic of desirability when brands are doing the influencing (albeit more consciously and innovative) rather than vice versa. An absence of specified merchandise doesn’t create exclusion when it can be left to a niche and authentic producer with long-term cause.

They identify relatively early in the 80's the so-called "Vendome Syndrome", by the name of the square where most French high-end jewelers were and are based in Paris. It describes the change in behavior of salespersons of luxury goods who identify so much with their product that they believe that are actually potential buyer and tend to mimic the worse behavior of their more nasty clients, which turns to be contra-productive. No idea why I remembered this when hearing this young lady dressed in white.

Then verify the p-value which would give us a significant indication. And Elon would en up being the subject that differs. Luxury definition and marketing correlation was a great and relevant statement. I would be apprehensive about completely removing a presence from reading materials with a lot of people now taking social media breaks. Readers have an inherent quality and as a demographic more likely to convert to brand loyalty through valuable quality’s such as product knowledge, construction, specifications and brand history that should be read to be retained. Science mentioned that through current digital usage trends people are half-heartedly or unconsciously grazing through mass amount of media because of access.

his life message” the more Central Banks keep the printing press working, more inequality everyday, the more rich i will become”. he has been on a free ride all his life.

Completely untrue : he has not been on a free ride all his life .. not even close to it. Came from a decent but no where near extravagantly wealthy family. Passed national french competitions in order to enter the best engineering school. And started from there ..

Driss M'Rini yes he has you are wrong and ignorant to crimes against humanity. He runs the largest conglomerate built on the backs of the people to produce the most overpriced goods for profit. Being born into a family that allows you to have access to millions of dollars is the definition of a free ride.

Not the most incisive questioning from the union in the presence of the world's 14th or so richest man. "Which brand of champagne, made by your group, is your favourite?" Har har, let us toast!
