Just typical that I’m in the 1.8% , I have never been so sick, vomiting, diarrhoea and horrible sulphur burps, the side effects to lessen if you can bear the first few weeks

Great info. Thanks. I've been on Ozempic for 6 months. The only lingering side effect is constipation and slow bowel movement. Even with Laxatives and prune juice I go every 3 to 6 days. Prior to Ozempic I went every day or two. I'm thinking about getting off the drug and going back to Glipizide. I have lost some weight due to a suppressed appetite. but my stomach discomfort is ruling my life.

The percentage of side effects are lower than 50 percent for the participant study yet for each person the percentage should vary. My symptoms have been unmanageable.

I have experience all of it. Mainly in the first few months. I think its worth it! My numbers are down...and I am down from a size 16 to a 14..its been 4 months. I'm sure when I go see my doctor, my a1c will be under a 6..because i was a 7 before I started.

Thanks for this video Doc! I am on week 4 of Ozempic. The nausea is manageable - a cup of ginger crystals drink takes care of it, when it occurs once or twice a day. But the worst side effect for me is the fatigue! Never in my life been this tired for long periods of time. The fatigue is borderline unbearable and causes near anxiety. I hardly want to get out of bed each morning. It's a good thing I'm still working from home. My hope is that this side effect will soon go away. BUT! it feels worth enduring... because my morning blood sugars have gone from between 147-200, to now being way more stable around 101-114! I haven't stepped on the scale in a couple of weeks - I need to make sure I see a decrease in weight before I do constant monitoring, so that I don't lose the excitement of that aspect.

I am ambidexterous too.. I just dont use it often.. In his case it was helpful with using the 2 different colors on both sides of the paper.. I also thought it was genius that he cut the glove fingers off on the tops and used the bottom half of his gloves so the markers didnt stain his hands, LOL

Love your channel and this topic, thank you for sharing about Ozempic! Could you compare the results for weight loss in ozempic and rybelsus? thank you!
@doctorsecrets3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks. Just by luck I saw the rep for Rybelsus week ago. He assures me that tablet ozempic effects weight loss same as the injectable but I have't tested it yet in my pt pool.

Can Ozempic be used for insulin resistance and pre-diabetes especially if Metformin ER is causing a lot if muscle pain? Thanks for the video😊

@@larrybair2029 Thanks for reply. I see my Endo next month so I am trying to learn as much as possible (so I can ask questions) Btw, I've read that it's tough to get insurance to pay for Ozempic but if it is approved a lot of patients are having a tough time filling prescription (apparently Hollywood is buying it up to stay thin).🫤 Sad when folks who actually need it can't get it. ⁵Thanks again:)

My Endo has increased my Ozempic to 2mg, are you seeing better results with that dose?

How long does the weight stay off, before your body gets used to ozempic and it starts to go back up?
@doctorsecrets3 жыл бұрын
So far what I've seen is the weight stays off so long as you stay on the Ozempic.

Hey! Could you please cover metformin and how to minimize side effects (ahem... Diarrhea). I feel like I've tried everything - more fiber, pre/probiotics, cutting out refined sugars but still running to the bathroom. Thank you!
@doctorsecrets3 жыл бұрын
I think I did a vid on Metformin few months back. Basically: start low, go slow. I typically start clients prone to diarrhea on 250mg at supper and gradually add in a breakfast, then at lunch. If sugars dictate, I'll then double up each dose at a time to 500mg each. This usually works, but I've had a few patients who couldn't tolerate it no way no how. So I reach for other options like farxiga.
@kimharvie73273 жыл бұрын
Have you tried the slow release form, it helped me when I couldn't tolerate the normal tablets.
@randicusack56583 жыл бұрын
Bottom line, metformin does not like carbohydrates (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes ,milk, sugar etc). Continue to eat them=continue bathroom
@misfitbrit19893 жыл бұрын
@@randicusack5658 so true. It's tough right now to avoid carbs in my diet. Long story. But found fiber (mixable in water type) helps!

My mom takes this and her side effects are worse some days than others. Do you think this could be related to poor eating habits? Her sugar is in the normal range, but she eats a very poor, unbalanced diet thar includes lots of sugar and carbs.
@rosedolch86372 жыл бұрын
The nausea is worse if you eat past the point of feeling full and that sucks sometimes because you feel full after only a few bites! If I can't eat sometimes I sip on an ensure.. Tell mom she can take chewable vitamins too if she can't eat, then at least her immune would still be good.. Walmart sells a big jug of them for $13 and it has 300 gummies.. Two per day still equals 4 months worth so its a good deal

Physician kickbacks were killed since at least the early 80's. It's all from big pharma to shareholders now.
