Greening deserts
Even in tough times we are #changemakers.
We do believe sustainable balance is the only profit we need!
Let’s move for a healthy body, mind & planet and join us with Lignaverda. Contact: info@lignaverda.org
Lignaverda is a partnership between Entrepreneurs without Frontiers (EwF) and Energy Lab
Ready, Set, Play. Let us take you behind the scenes of our world changing project. Where landscape, soil and people are impoverished by desertification, Entrepreneurs Without Frontiers turns the tide. We create a fertile soil by striving for a continuous balance between ecology, sociology and economy. Never losing our aim for a world that enables the local population to create prosperity. Entrepreneurs Without Frontiers (EwF) wants to achieve this goal by fighting desertification in semi-arid regions through reforestation initiatives, striving Land Degradation Neutrality and aims to realize various development objectives achieving sustainable ecological and socio-economic impacts. Join us and watch how we can make the world green again.

What work is done in creeks and storm run off? I see the swales or whatever they are called in the fields. But what about leaky weirs? Increase biodiversity, keep the nutrients in the system. Build soils. plants need more then sun and water.

Great job. Humans have been terrible stewards of the planet. We need to start terraforming our own planet let alone start on Mars.

Wait a moment, can't we replant and regenerate ecosystems while still using oil? The plants use carbon dioxide to survice. The fact is that much of the green energy depends on metals and minerals, especially rare metals, that need to be extracted. The extraction process destroys ecosystems and has very severe environmental problems. In order to get enough rare metals the ocean ecosystems and much of the land must be destroid, unless there are innovations to avoid this. So green energy is not truly green because the batteries, motors, magnets, and so forth require these rare metals.

Yes they require these metals, but not all the time, and yes, the extraction can be polluting, but not always, if it's done in the right way. Green technologies are better the fossil fuel, we just need to make sure to make it the transition in the more sustainable way

And oil supplies isn’t going to last much longer if we continue to use burn it in the pace we are today

Ok, so the atmosphere is 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. CO2 makes up .04% of the atmosphere and 60% of that is naturally occuring. Humans make up 40% of the .04% of carbon emissions. I'm not a climate denier, but I think we need to start looking at multiple factors as to why the planet has an erratic weather pattern. Milankovich cycles, overpopulation, over farming, etc. Even IF we could reduce all co2, climate change will still happen, just like it has for billions of years.

The climate changes every day. Please stay with planting, and leave off the misguided proselytizing.
