G'day Ozzie, mate have you heard of the licensing fee changes in W.A? Dealers up by 96.7%, repairers licence up 134.9% and smaller rises for others. Apparently no groups were informed they just changed it. My local gun store recons the policy came in on July 1st and they were notified on July 2nd. Any chance of a video to make people aware of this?

G'day Ozzie long time follower here mate, first up thank you for all the hard work you do to keep us up to date with all things firearm related. I really appreciate it. I currently am not a shooter as of yet due to a number of things but mainly for 2 reasons first up is my financial situation which is directly attributed to my second reason that being i have brain cancer (because I do the right thing with centrelink and declare my wifes income so I only get $160 a fortnight and we are trying to pay off our house I can not justify to have her and my family pay for it all) and the fit and proper person legislation they implemented it really scared me and held me back, but I have since gotten past that part so I am slowly working out ways to financially get started im going to sell my boat to get this all happening! You have been a wealth of knowledge and major inspiration, i too have had a melanoma and fully admire you dedication to support that cause my hat goes off to you Sir, to be honest I've now lost where I was going with this so I will stop rambling now! Keep going strong with what you do for the shooting community again you are a great inspiration. P.s. I have found a top bloke in the states on KZfaq that is purely dedicated to rifle scope reviews he is Joe from CYCLOPS SCOPE REVIEWS. He is very similar to you, he tells it how it is no bull dust and honest up front reviews on all types of scopes. WA is about 10 years behind then other states most of the people in licensing have never even held a firearm or know the basics of them it’s ridiculous that our fates are in there hands

Regarding what other things get banned based on appearance. Don’t forget in 2019 NSW voted into law their “Zombie Knife Ban” If it has a green handle or is marketed as being good for killing zombies it’s now illegal to possess in NSW

Shooters especially hunters are so caught up in the gear these days. Reality check, it wont make you a better shot or a skilful hunter....
