This is one of the first songs my son learned on his guitar. He played by ear. He had a wonderful gift. Any instrument he could play. I lost him to a car accident in 2014. Today he would be 24 yrs old. He played this song for me all the time.

I lost my father back in 2002. It was one of the hardest things Ive ever experienced growing up as a child. I’ll never forget my mother’s expression. My sister’s screams, and the overall sadness I’ve experienced. I’m 29 years old now, with a good job, dating, and all that. I still have these feelings…I miss you so much dad.

I also lost my mom to cervical cancer, earlier last year. she suffered unimaginably. i was her caregiver at our home and she died in my arms as i lifted her up to give her pain meds. death itself had to go through me to take her. it crushed my heart every day to see her slowly wither away. she suffered greatly and sacrificed so much in this life. there is no recovering from this. all you can do is learn to move forward.

Bless you. I lost mine just a few months ago, and it hurts so bad every single day without her. Lost my daddy 2 years ago then my f-i-l a year ago. Mama in June, and 2 weeks later my m-i-l! Such a surreal world to live in without our parents. Knowing mine aren't sick and are together again helps so much. Prayers for you. 🙏🏻

MrFoliumofdescartes Not that it's probably even worth responding to a troll. But as an engineer we were involved in building and repairing roads, hospitals, wells, schools, sewer systems, ect. Along with providing equipment to the local government for their own building projects. That left us a bit to busy to go on any blood thirsty killing runs...

[Verse 1] Times have changed and times are strange Here I come, but I ain't the same Mama, I'm coming home Time's gone by, it seems to be You could have been a better friend to me Mama, I'm coming home [Pre-Chorus] You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes [Verse 2] You made me cry, you told me lies But I can't stand to say goodbye Mama, I'm coming home I could be right, I could be wrong It hurts so bad, it's been so long Mama, I'm coming home [Pre-Chorus] Selfish love, yeah, we're both alone The ride before the fall, yeah But I'm gonna take this heart of stone I've just got to have it all [Chorus] I've seen your face a hundred times Every day we've been apart I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause Mama, Mama, I'm coming home I'm coming home [Guitar Solo] [Pre-Chorus] You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes [Chorus] I've seen your face a thousand times Every day we've been apart I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause Mama, Mama I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home

Growing up as a kid, I heard this song often and liked it but never truly understood why. Now, as a 25 year old who is making amends with my mom "one day at a time" for years of heartache I caused her and a multitude of mistakes I made, this song has taken on a new and beautiful meaning for me. Now I know what song I'll have playing when I pick her up for lunch tomorrow. Thank you Ozzy 🤟

Idk who needs to hear this but God put it on my heart to say this. When I was 2 years old I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Every doctor my parents took me to said I was colicky. God lead us to a doctor at childrens hospital and he diagnoses me with kidney cancer. I had a wilms tumor on my left kidney the size of a softball. I went through chemothereapy and eventually got my kidney removed. I've been cancer free for 12 years! I've also been saved since i was 8. Al we have to do to be saved is ask and mean it from our heart and we will go to heaven when we die. If you remember anything that I'm saying let it be that all we have to do to be saved is ask and that god loves you and so do i! Idk who needed to hear this but God put it on my heart to say this. If anyone needs any prayers just reply to my comment. God loves you and so do I God bless you all!

My step father died ten years ago. This was his favorite song we were going to play it while they were taking the casket out after the funeral. Something happened and when Amazing Grace was supposed to play, in the middle of the funeral, this came on as we all looked around and started smiling we knew he was there with us. Every time I hear this song I think of that moment, and the best man I knew.

Times have changed and times are strange Here I come, but I ain't the same Mama, I'm coming home Times gone by seems to be You could have been a better friend to me Mama, I'm coming home You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes You made me cry, you told me lies But, I can't stand to say goodbye Mama, I'm coming home I could be right, I could be wrong It hurts so bad, it's been so long Mama, I'm coming home Selfish love, yeah, we're both alone The ride before the fall, yeah But I'm gonna take this heart of stone I just got to have it all I've seen your face a hundred times Everyday we've been apart I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home I'm coming home You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes I've seen your face a thousand times Every day we've been apart And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah 'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home I'm coming home

We lost his Step Dad to Cancer in 2016 and my son feels as tho he's lost his Best Friend..... Today is my son's Birthday and he is in a terrible struggle with Addiction, I do not even recognize him anymore 😢... I hardly hear from him or even know if he's 'Alive'... I will, however, as I do EVERY YEAR post a Happy Birthday wish with a song attached in the hopes he sees it and knows how much I LOVE him.....😢😢😢

@@paulaking9878 Thank You Paula, and my Sincere Apologies for your loss...I can't imagine the pain, and forget anyone saying that it gets easier cuz it doesn't...Grief is Very Real and it never truly goes away. I think that our brains are just "Hardwired" into thinking that we have to 'Shut those True Feelings off' at some point...easier said than done right? The toughest thing that I'm challenged with is that not only is my son an Addict, but his sister also (my only 2 kids) It's like I have this dillusion that, somehow, me, their MOM, can fix it for them but then I get back to "Reality" and remember the days when I, myself, struggled with an Addiction to "Prescribed" pain medication for years (I was functioning and my Dr. prescribed them so I was in COMPLETE DENIAL) and I knew that the ONLY way I was gunna get "FIXED" is if I "FIXED" myself, which, but by The Grace of God, I did 🙏👍🙂 That was about 9 years ago.... It's so hard to watch my kids suffer, knowing there's nothing I can do to help them. I just put it in God's Hands and I continue to pray for them and ANYONE ELSE that suffers with this that God Armour them with His Strength and Tenacity so that they can withstand Evil each and every day 🙏.... Thank You, again, Paula, for your kind words of support and I pray your boy Continues to Rest in the Sweetest Peace in Paradise..🙏🫂🕊 God Bless

God bless you, sis! The road you are on won't be easy, for the devil will always call you by your weaknesses. However, God will always call you by your name. Follow his path, and as each day you will become stronger. I'm 50 years old, and the devil still likes to try me but he never succeeds. ❤❤❤❤

Thank you for this masterpiece Ozzy! Found this song when I was 12 and My Mom was hardly around due to circumstances and passed when I was 18, so now nearly 11 years later from when I found it originally, it has such a deeper meaning to my heart. I'm thankful I did get to meet her and see her a few times in my life, music is the best medicine.

I miss you, Mamma. It’s been a hard 36 years without you, but your words helped me raise 3 strong productive young men. “A man is someone who takes care of his own, with his own two hands and will only be as good as the word he keeps, from the promises he makes”. I said those same words to my boys when they were growing up and they took them to heart just like I did. I wish you could have held them when they were babies and watched them grow up. I still talk about you to them all the time and they still gather wide eyed to hear the stories I learned from you. I hope you are proud of the job I did with them, because I sure am proud of the job you did with me. I love you Mamma

My dad had a very rough childhood. He lost his dad as an infant. He watched his mom get beaten by multiple men she dated. She died before I was born. As a result of his rough childhood (I presume), my dad was an alcoholic. He was a loving father, but he struggled with alcoholism, which ultimately led to his death 10 years ago. He was only 53. I can remember him playing this song when I was young. When I hear it now it makes me think this song made him think of his mom. He's home with his mom now; in heaven or wherever our spirits go when we pass. Happy birthday dad. I miss you.

My heart goes out to you and your family. Some people are such scum that they don't deserve to breath our Air! Although I'm not an aggressive cruel person, I'd have no problem putting a bullet between his eyes! And if I get suspended from FB For saying this then he's as guilty and protecting vermin who deserve to go to hell quickly!!! My HEART GOES OUT TO YOU BROTHER. My childhood was bad but I feel for you my friend. My Mom passed when I was four. The sixties was a time of some medicines just weren't strong enough or lacked different ingredients to make them work! My friend just try to put it all behind you and live the rest of your life loving the people who are around you and truly care about you You'll know who they are and separate the rotten apples. Love you Brother good luck and best of wishes!!!

Your father, a very loving one, although he had to struggle, managed to shield you from all those tragic past it seems. His life was sadly a difficult one.
