These live videos are frequently very poorly edited. The multiple cameras are getting good shots but in the studio the editors are clueless about what should be shown and when. The guitarist or drummer will be doing some impressive section and they wont even show them doing it. Complete morons who know nothing about the music.

indeed. As someone who still have the magazine containing the festival programme for that week, it seems that (unfortunately) alot of media folks were too focused on fully capturing whatever unexpected crazy thing Ozzy might do on stage around that time.

He was the only Ozzy guitar player who made the Randy stuff sound like it was Jake’s material but at the same time he played the solos very close to the originals. Really hard to do all that. He ruled. He owned all of it. Terrible blow for him to be fired. And to me it was sad he went in a derivative blues direction with Badlands, as good as they were at it. I think I can speak for others who thought he was capable of something next level. 😢

Better than Randy imo
@SJ-ty5rw3 ай бұрын
@@user-wt6ph8kq9e Randy's stuff like Mr. Crowley , Over the Mountain , Crazy train is legendary . Jake's stuff not as much . People just say he's better .. because they like his technical skills , and that he could play fast . Randy was the better composer . Their is a reason his songs with Ozzy , are more popular 30 plus years later .

When not wearing a hooded robe and carrying a sickle, Father Time Tommy Aldridge continues to showcase the tasteful licks one can accomplish with two bass drums incorporated into fills and accents. Tommy came out of the woodshed pretty proficient. His work with the Gregorian Monks in the 9th & 10th centuries on their live scroll “Speakus de Deveilus” with Randolphus Rhodus on lute is way ahead of its time.
