"Ninja Speed"??? Dude I saw Ozzy with Randy Rhoads 40 years ago, even back then the only ninja speed was coming from Randys guitar. To your point, maybe he's 'wise' like Yoda, but comparisons end there.

I love this song! Not only because its a badass song with amazing riffs, but because it brings some good, almost nostalgic memories. The first time I heard it was about 6 years ago. A few friends and I were driving around town at night and one of them, being a big Ozzy fan, put it on. I was hooked on the song and that memory of hanging out with them and listening to this song for the first time stuck with me. I also think its because we don't hang out that much anymore especially since after high school that it made it feel more special.

@@SpacePharaoh ... Ozzy might have said many things to draw attraction towards his work. That's the entire point of "stars" giving interviews. ;] Just look at the lyrics, 2nd verse: "Riding *painted* *horses* Oh the kids they *love* *it* *so* You can see it *on their faces* How they love the wind to *blow* " and then: "But if i don't try to help them They could wind up on the front page" The kids are shooting up / snorting balls / doing hash / whatever, and the protagonist is thinking that he should do something, otherwise they might end up as news items for the local papers. Then the pre-chorus: "I don't mind Draw the LINE, then draw me an arrow Feeling fine And I'll see you my friend Over and over again" Ahem... COCAINE.... -_- then, the last verse: "... I've been doing this all night How much did you give me Tell me it'll be all right" Only the FIRST verse doesn't sound like it's about drugs at all. So ok, I can admit that the song is not ENTIRELY about addiction. But a bigger part of is certainly IS... -_-

When I was 9 years old, this was the first Ozzy song I had ever heard. I hadn't ever heard Sabbath or his early solo career. My step mom just had Ozzmosis laying around and I became obsessed with the album from front to back. What a strong opener. And then I showed my friends. I paved their way into metal. Ugh, 4th grade memories.

Had the pleasure of seeing him on the 10th, what an amazing show! While he did tease this song by playing the intro I didn’t really care because he was just blasting out hit after hit, I highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen him yet, GO!

On his way to dinner when it took him by surprise And with one pull of the trigger he would vanish overnight Dancing by the roadside, holding on for dear life Then a gun from out of nowhere made a widow of his wife I don't mind, single file down the runway Feelin' fine and I see you, my friend Over and over again Who can we get on the case? We need Perry Mason Someone to put you in place Calling Perry Mason again Again Riding painted horses, oh the kids they love it so You can see it on their faces, how they love the wind to blow Minding my own business like my mama always said But if I don't try to help 'em they could wind up on the front page I don't mind, draw the line, then draw me an arrow Feelin' fine, then I'll see you, my friend Over and over again Who can we get on the case? We need Perry Mason Someone to put you in place Calling Perry Mason again Again Wake me when it's over, tell me it's all right Just keep on talking, baby, I've been doing this all night How much did you give me, tell me it'll be all right Then I'll see you, my friend Over and over again Who can we get on the case? We need Perry Mason Someone to put you in place Calling Perry Mason again Again, again, again

This Song tell's a story of the darkest aspect of humanity in its purest form. Ozzy is a truth teller. This Rock n Roll Song has a guitar crescendo, the hardest bass line & the motion to take it to anthum status. A brilliant piece of musicianship. A piece of Art. A chronologue of cultural existence.
