Anson's appearance has the perfect mixture of being a handsome and charming guy but also enough of the "grizzled, frontier, roughriding" guy with the grey in his hair and beard. Would love to have that in my 30s and beyond.

Notice how he dodged the question as to whether his great, great grandad being a CSA officer impacted how he approaches Bohannon character. And he even allowing it to do so would be like allowing his other relative's moon shining effect his drinking habits...his meaning, imo, being that drinking liquid that could make you go blind when other options are available is the same degree of error as taking pride in your Confederate relative when you should see his cause was evil and wrong (like potentially lethal moon shine might be vs Jack Daniels). Kudos to Fox fro trying to get this answer. Would've loved to hear it. Funny thing is that Mount apparently made a real pitch when casting was ongoing that they needed to have a real southerner for the role of Cullen. Apparently he meant just for the accent. Too bad. All that being said, the show was relatively non-pc, though there was plenty of "reconstruction" of Bohannon that went on. Seasons 1-2 were 5 stars. The very ending of 2 and thereon, the show was 3 to 4 stars with still really good plot twists and characters, while the good scenery and props never lets up. All in all (and I'm picky as heck), best show I've seen besides Breaking Bad.

I love his interviews. Smart, gorgeous, etc. Just one question: WHY does his hair always look a little greasy? I assumed it was like that on the show because of the stuff they put in it to make Cullen look a little unkempt. But off the show, I don't really see the reason behind having dirty hair. (BTW: Hate mail after this comment isn't really necessary. Just saying.)
