Maya and dilip were a good team. Maya was good at threatening and Dilip in execution. As you said Dilip was the bodyguard of Rama Naik. He killed Rama Naik when they were sitting in a car. Dilip was in the front seat. He turned around and shot Rama Naik dead. As a part of compromise between Daddy and Ravan, Maya was to be delivered to Ravan as he had killed 3 of Amar Naik's men. But somebody tipped of Maya and he ran directly to Dilip. It was vengeance for Maya when he killed Arun Gawli's brother. Maya and Dilip had cordoned of Dagdi Chawl and dared Arun to come out. Arun called the police and surrendered. This way he was able to save himself.
