Nice build, I have always loved the P-40 the most from WWII, even though they weren't as great in performance as the Spitfire, Corsair or Zero, they just had a "macho" character about them, with the big intimidating mouth and teeth, their rugged body frame, they were and always be my favorite plane of WWII. One British fighter that was my favorite and never gets enough attention is the Typhoon and Tempest. What amazing planes.

Awesome as usual! @Scale-a-ton what kind of wire belts are made of?

This is an aircraft painted like my father squadron from World War II in Burma. I have made several models in various skills depicting his squadron markings.

Very nice work. Great the trick to mark the dials with the pencil instead of dry brushing. Also what find great in your videos is that you give the paint mix ratio used and airbrush/pressure used. Very nice touch!

Love the vid. Just learning to paint. Also, have to say that the song used in the beginning is the same that I used for my sister-in-law's wedding video! Lol

The amount of realism you add to the model is outstanding, the final photos are beautifully presented & you would be hard-pressed to believe it's a model & not the real thing. Thank you for the tips & tricks you shared & thank you for taking on this journey with you.

Just imagine, to be alive in those days, to be able to walk up and touch those planes that we all adore. It was a regular day for those veterans, looking at these fighters so they didn't care as much as we do, just like cars, everything evolves to something better. I would bet that those deceased WWII veterans would want to walk up and touch today's fighters too.Imagine if we could bring a WWII veteran back to life and have him sit in a F-22 Raptor or even more advanced fighters, what would he think ? Cheers

Hats off to you for your excellent model of the P-40. The detailed notes about the materials used and tips to build the model are very helpful and the video gives the impression of professionalism. The model itself stand out from the many video builds of mediocre models here on youtube. Unfortunately 1/48th scale is not my choice.

Curtis's Warhawk has long been a plane associated with the Charles Chenault and those who volunteered for the Flying Tiger's air group in the skies over China as Japanese aggression was spent on the mainland interior and it's civilian population. This variant would have come long after the C's that had the distinction of being the first planes flown in the defense of Pearl Harbour on December 7th, but even those were no match for the raider's A6M fighter wing of the Imperiale th Japanese Naval Forces. Your rendition awakens images of the closing volley's of the conflict, as the pride of the axis powers dwindled through the immense attrition that took place in the mid-1940's, as Japan and its allies felt the tightening noose of Allied efforts tax their resources more fully.

So admire your skill. Where did you learn all these tricks ??? When I was a kid I built a gazillion kits from matchbox and revell but the result was never anywhere near what you do
@hayabusa-iii92823 жыл бұрын
I love my opponents. The 49th squadron of the 5th Air Force. The ones with all the cute women on the noses. I always put an old Monogram pilot figure in the cockpit. I also have to do some cutting for the wheels up version. Otherwise it cannot dogfight my Nakajima KI-43 II Oscar and Kawasaki-KI-61b Tony fighters. The Mauve kit is excellent also.
@loreztaken4 жыл бұрын
I'm really impressed, great airbrushing work to get that realistic worn look. Bravo.

Hello Rahmi! Always glad to see a new video from you! This is one of my favorites fighters of WWII. Excellent scheme from India and Burma campaign! Although the one from the original kit was not bad either... :-)

Excellent results and I love the skull decal on the nose. It's nice to see something other than the shark mouth. I have the new-ish Airfix offering in the stash and hope to build it eventually on my channel. What's your opinion of the Airfix compared to the Hasegawa?
@Scaleaton4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I've no idea, I didn't build any Airfix P-40 yet. But I am sure Hasegawa has better plastic quality and surface texture.
@isaacclarke84203 жыл бұрын

EXCELLENT!!!!! How are you able to measure 3% to make paint mixtures?
@billchristo78944 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Excellent work. I noticed that sometimes you use IPA to thin your paints and sometimes leveling thinner. Any particular reason?
