Stupid question, but how did they do it? It might help if I watch the video.... I'm curious why the dancers were all in gray?

@@evercuriousmichelle Not a stupid question Michelle. I watched the making of it AND the final video and I still don;t understand how they made all the dancers look like shadows. Clearly I am not very smart. There is even one part where you see Pink dancing in two areas. Was one a Pink double? Yet that part is not even in the video, so maybe it got cut? Someone might explain for us :)

​@@zahwaandi5448 I think she is being carried I am guessing they shot every scene without people, and then with the dancers - this way they can easily show the clip without dancers on top of the dancers - but not on top of the shadows (using some clever computer software, this tracing can be done almost completely automatic) The parts where the shadows are dancing together with Pink - intertwined - is probably the hardest and coolest. I think they have filmed pink from every imaginable angle, and whenever her partner dancer in grey dances in front of her, the computer uses all the existing shots of her, to render the "missing" part of the shots - pretty much like a 3d movie animation, but using real footage as the texture. - The computer finds the grey dancer - removes him from the image, then fills the missing part of the image with the video shot without people, then it "paints" the missing parts of pink back onto the picture - this is probably done in a mix between computer automation and an artist manually adjusting the angles and light to make it look real That is my guess at least :)

I think green screen applies more when you're trying to fill in the background and keep the foreground intact. Possible application for the dancers in this work but I'm not for certain. I did notice however when Pink is partnered up in the dance the camera cuts to a far/wide shot. My guess is that this would help in post production editing to hide the dancers clad in grey and help in filling in Pink's outfit/form without having to show too much detail with whatever CGI technique they used. I originally thought that they just did wire work and put in CGI shadows but from seeing the BTS video, I'm glad to see them using a mixture of practical effects, lighting work, and some post production editing to make this. Very awesome video to compliment the song.

Most of the magic happens in post production and editing, and perhaps it's also an original idea and they don't wanna give out 🤷‍♀️

It is like a Photoshop for videos. The question is how to delete all dancers and fill the space left.
